The analysis definitively shows a statistically significant cooling trend in Land Surface Temperature across most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between 2000 and 2025. This finding underscores that global climate trends do not manifest uniformly everywhere. Regional environmental management, land use policies, and natural atmospheric cycles can create distinct local climate trajectories. Understanding these specific regional patterns is crucial for developing effective, evidence-based policies for agriculture, water resource management, and climate adaptation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Further research is needed to precisely attribute the causes of this observed cooling phenomenon.

Balochistan produces 99% of Pakistan’s grapes, making it the country's leading grape-growing region due to its ideal climate and fertile soil.
The province contributes about 160,000 metric tons of grapes annually out of the national production of 170,000 metric tons.
Key grape-producing districts include Quetta, Pishin, Kalat, Zhob, and Chaman.
Grapes from Balochistan are known for varieties like kishmish, shundokhani, haita, and sahibi, which are popular locally.
The region also produces significant quantities of raisins, contributing to local income and exports.
However, challenges such as water scarcity, power shortages, and lack of cold storage facilities affect production and post-harvest management.
Experts suggest that better infrastructure and government support could further boost this vital sector in Balochistan, often called Pakistan’s "Fruit Basket".
