The first Board Members’ Meeting of the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women (BCSW) was held at the C&W Conference Hall, Civil Secretariat, Quetta. The meeting was chaired by the Chairperson BCSW, Ms. Kiran Baloch, and was attended by all ordinary members of the Commission.The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The agenda was then presented, formally opened, and warmly welcomed by the Chairperson, and subsequently adopted unanimously by all members.The meeting focused on advancing women’s rights, reviewing the upcoming budget, and setting strategic priorities for key development projects. Significant and forward-looking decisions were made to strengthen institutional performance and ensure greater impact for women across the province.

Kiran Baloch, Chairperson of BCSW, met with Provincial Ombudsperson Madam Tahira Baloch in her office on April 1, 2026. She congratulated Madam Tahira Baloch on assuming her position. During the meeting, both discussed issues related to women and expressed their commitment to working together for the protection, empowerment, and development of women.

Kiran Baloch, Chairperson of the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women, attended the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York.She proudly represented Balochistan and Pakistan at this important global forum, highlighting the commitment to women’s empowerment and gender equality.
