In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dismantled a major drug distribution network in South Punjab targeting students of educational institutions through social media and e-commerce platforms. The network, run by two brothers, who were involved in large-scale distribution of party drugs.
ANF team through extensive intelligence arrested them & confiscated 1,500 Ecstasy tablets, 1.5 Kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice) & 2 Kgs of Hashish.
The drug traffickers used social media and e-commerce platforms to sell drugs to students, making it easy to reach and influence young people. Through these online channels, they promoted and facilitated drug sales, exploiting the digital space to evade detection.
The network also organized drug-fueled (RAVE) parties at various houses and hotels in Multan, specifically targeting hostel students.
This operation highlights the ANF’s commitment to curbing the increasing trend of substance use in educational institutions, which poses severe consequences for the youth and society.
The crackdown is part of ANF's ongoing campaign against drug trafficking organizations that target exposed students and networks who are involved in selling illicit drugs in educational institutions.
