School & Community Health Awareness Activities

PPHI Sindh, District Tando Muhammad Khan, conducted the following health awareness and community engagement activities under the supervision of Dr. Chatroo:

🔹 School Health Session – Government Primary School Haji Ismil Nizamani
Health awareness sessions were conducted on pneumonia, Acute Upper Respiratory Infections (AURI), and suspected tuberculosis (TB).

🔹 Community Health Session – Soomrki Mori
Community members were sensitized about pneumonia and the identification of suspected tuberculosis cases.

🔹 Community Support Group Meeting – USK Digh Mori
A meeting was held to strengthen community participation and support for primary healthcare initiatives.

🔹 School Health Session – Government Primary School Soomrki Mori
Students were educated about pneumonia and suspected tuberculosis, promoting awareness of common respiratory illnesses and the importance of timely medical consultation.

A MAJOR MILESTONE IN COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE | MENTAL HEALTH INTEGRATION

PPHI Sindh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of York to integrate mental health services into primary healthcare, under the leadership of CEO PPHI Sindh, Mr. Javed Ali Jagirani.

In collaboration with Dr. Kamran and research teams, this initiative aims to strengthen access to accessible, sustainable, and integrated mental health services for communities across Sindh.

This partnership marks an important step towards improving community well-being and making mental health support an integral part of primary healthcare.

District Manager’s Visit to R&R Work Sites

Today, District Manager Mr. Abdul Hafeez Bhatti visited the following health facilities under DO Tando Muhammad Khan to review and monitor the progress of ongoing Repair & Renovation (R&R) works.

During the visit, he inspected the ongoing renovation and construction activities, with particular attention to the quality of construction materials, including cement, iron rods, bricks, and overall workmanship, to ensure adherence to the required quality standards.

A staff meeting was convened today at the PPHI District Office, Tando Muhammad Khan, under the chairmanship of the Worthy Regional Director, Mr. Maula Bux Solangi.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of key operational matters, including:

KPI Performance: Assessment of achievements and progress during the first 15 days of October 2026.

Repair & Renovation (R&R) Works: Review of the progress and implementation status of ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Newly Handed-Over Health Facilities: Evaluation of operational readiness, service delivery, and overall performance of facilities recently entrusted to PPHI Sindh.

District Manager Mr. Abdul Hafeez Bhatti briefed the Worthy Regional Director on the district's progress, ongoing activities, and key operational developments.

During the meeting, the Worthy Regional Director issued necessary instructions and provided guidance to strengthen administrative oversight, improve performance indicators, accelerate ongoing development works, and ensure the effective functioning of health facilities.

The Respected Regional Director Hyderabad, Mr. Maula Bux Solangi, conducted a comprehensive monitoring visit to multiple healthcare facilities under the District Office Tando Muhammad Khan to assess service delivery standards, operational performance, and compliance with PPHI Sindh’s established protocols.

During the visit, he thoroughly reviewed essential healthcare operations, staff attendance, availability of medicines and necessary supplies, ward arrangements, the functionality of the X-Ray department at RHC / 10-Bedded Hospital Barchani, and the status of Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The assessment also covered other key operational indicators in accordance with the prescribed MMU monitoring checklist.

The visit to RHC / 10-Bedded Hospital Barchani also served as a preparatory assessment ahead of the forthcoming official visit of the Chief Officer (CO), focusing on administrative readiness, facility arrangements, and the effective functioning of hospital services.

The Regional Director also held an interactive meeting with facility staff, reviewed operational matters, and issued necessary instructions to address identified gaps, enhance administrative efficiency, strengthen digital health information management, and further improve the quality of healthcare services across the district.

The Worthy District Manager, PPHI Sindh, District Tando Muhammad Khan, visited BHU Plus Nazarpur to review the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and assess the overall performance of healthcare service delivery at the facility.

During the visit, EMR-related operations, patient registration, technical challenges, internet connectivity, and other PPHI-related matters were reviewed to ensure the effective utilization of digital healthcare systems and the smooth delivery of quality healthcare services.

The visit also focused on addressing operational challenges, strengthening digital patient record management, and ensuring that concerned healthcare staff actively utilize the EMR system for Antenatal Care (ANC) and Family Planning services, including during evening and night shifts.
