The physical and emotional toll of the displacement, coupled with the scarcity of water, exacerbates the suffering of the affected population. Dehydration and waterborne diseases become real threats, especially in situations where people are compelled to use unsafe water sources.

Anaam, 90 year old, displaced from her village in the Nakba of 1948 due to the massacres committed by Zionist gangs against civilians in neighboring villages. She kept her return key in the hope of returning to her home in that village. Today, Anaam immigrated again for the same reason and covered a distance of more than 5 kilometers. She walked on foot under the sounds of bombing and among tanks with her family to the southern Gaza Strip after the Israeli occupation had destroyed their homes in the northern Gaza Strip.
