Not everyone close to you is actually for you.
Some people enjoy your struggle because it makes them feel comfortable.
The moment you start winning, their energy changes.
They stop cheering.
They get distant.
They act like your success is a threat.
That is not your circle.
That is your warning.
Real support does not disappear when you rise.
It gets louder.
Keep the people who are proud of your growth, not threatened by it.
A LOOK BEHIND THE BUILD 🚨
Joe hand built our Fairfax Host Box, Our Novato High Host Box, our Terra Linda Host Box, and is now finishing the newest box headed to Santa Rosa. Along the way, we ran into a few challenges when winter weather arrived and exposed areas where improvements were needed. Instead of giving up, Joe redesigned the boxes, strengthened the construction, and created an even better version built to withstand the elements and serve our communities for years to come.
While Joe personally built our Marin County boxes, three additional Host Boxes in Mariposa County were built and installed by local hosts after the materials were shipped directly due to the distance. Together, these boxes are helping expand access to free, life saving Narcan in communities that need it most.
More than 100,000 people have died from drug overdoses in the United States in recent years, with fentanyl continuing to drive the crisis. Many overdoses happen in homes, parking lots, workplaces, and public spaces where every second matters. Narcan can reverse an opioid overdose within minutes and has helped save countless lives across the country.
This newest Santa Rosa Host Box represents more than wood, and paint. It represents people who refuse to look away from a crisis affecting families in every community. It represents neighbors helping neighbors. It represents the belief that a life is worth saving.
Thank you, Joe, for the countless hours, the redesigns, the problem solving, and the dedication behind every box. Your work is helping make life saving medication available when and where it is needed most.

Volunteers needed!!!!
Seven years ago, we started with one simple goal: show up when people need help.
Since then, we’ve helped families prepare for wildfires, supported communities through storms and power outages, expanded access to life saving Narcan, distributed emergency supplies, and responded when people didn’t know where else to turn. The need has never stopped. Neither have we.
If you’ve ever supported our work, shared our posts, volunteered, hosted a Narcan box, attended an event, or simply believed in what we’re doing, thank you. If you’d like to help us continue this mission, we invite you to stand with us once again.
Together, we’ve spent over seven years showing up for California. Together, we’ll continue.

Behind every fair ticket is a person carrying something you can’t see. A tired parent. A caregiver. A grandparent. Someone overwhelmed by the heat, the crowds, or simply the weight of a difficult day. From June 18th through June 21st, we’ll be transforming Beverly C. Wilson Hall into a welcoming, air conditioned space where people can sit down, cool off, hydrate, recharge, and feel supported. This is what community care looks like. Not always during a disaster, but in the everyday moments when a small act of kindness can make a big difference. Thanks to Healthy Petaluma, our volunteers, and everyone helping bring this vision to life. Together, we’re creating a place where every person who walks through the door is met with comfort, compassion, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Take a look at these skies over the California. Dark clouds, bursts of sunshine, passing showers, and an atmosphere that feels unusually energetic for late spring. While these clouds are not being caused by El Niño itself, they arrive at a time when meteorologists are closely watching significant changes taking place across the Pacific Ocean.
Current forecasts indicate that El Niño is likely to begin developing during the coming months. The strongest impacts are not expected until late fall and winter, but the atmosphere does not wait for an official declaration before it begins responding to larger scale changes. Long before California sees the full influence of El Niño, we can experience periods of increased atmospheric instability, more dramatic cloud formations, occasional thunderstorm opportunities, shifting weather patterns, and brief surges of moisture and humidity.
That is why weather experts are paying attention to what is happening right now. This summer is still expected to be near to slightly warmer than average across much of California. However, there may be more episodes of unsettled weather, isolated thunderstorms, and unusual sky conditions than people typically expect this time of year.
The more noticeable signs of El Niño’s influence could begin appearing by late summer and fall as ocean temperatures continue warming across the tropical Pacific. If the pattern develops as forecast, the period from December 2026 through March 2027 could bring an increased risk of atmospheric rivers, stronger Pacific storms, heavier rainfall, flooding, landslides, coastal impacts, and above average Sierra snowfall.
No one can say exactly how strong this El Niño will become. What we do know is that the Pacific Ocean is changing, and the atmosphere is beginning to respond. These dramatic skies serve as a reminder that California’s weather is constantly evolving, and the next chapter may already be starting to unfold above our heads.
