Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar

On the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel, the View Hospital and Al Jaber Twin Towers were illuminated with the colors of Azerbaijani flag.

On May 12, Ambassador Mr.Adish Mammadov met with Mr.Hassan bin Abdula Al-Ghanim, the speaker of the Shura Council. During the meeting they discussed areas of cooperation between Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Shura Council of the State of Qatar.

Ambassador of the Pakistan to the State of Qatar Mr.Muhammad Aamer paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Dr. Adish Mammadov. During the meeting discussed bilateral relations between two countries and recent military-political tensions in the region.

On the 102nd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, a commemorative event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Qatar. The diplomatic staff of the Embassy and members of the Azerbaijani community living in Qatar took part in the event.

Had a fruitful meeting with Mr.Mohammed Nasser Al-Hajri, Chairman of the Board Nebras Power, Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Electricity and Water. During the meeting discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Nebras Power in the Green Energy sector.

Had a productive meeting with Mrs. Fatma Hassan Al Remaihi, Chief Executive Officer of the Doha Film Institute of Qatar. Discussed areas of cooperation between relevant Azerbaijani institutions and the Doha Film Institute.

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 31 March – Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis

It has been 107 years since extremist Armenian groups committed horrific atrocities against thousands of innocent Azerbaijanis.

On , the Day of the Genocide of Azerbaijanis, we honor and solemnly commemorate the innocent lives lost due to a deliberate campaign of racial discrimination, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.

This tragic period in our history will remain in the collective memory of the Azerbaijani people.

On March 23, in celebration of Holy month of Ramadan Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar hosted Iftar dinner for Ambassadors of Turkic States.

Had a productive meeting with Dr. Omar Mohamed Al-Ansari, President of Qatar University. Discussed cooperation opportunities between Qatar University and Azerbaijani universities.

Participants from different ministries attending the course Cybercrime Investigation- Foundation for Republic of Azerbaijan Officials ,jointly organized by UNODC Programme Office in the State of Qatar and Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar, visited Embassy and had interesting discussions with H.E. Ambassador Adish Mammadov.

11 fevral 2025-ci il tarixində Dohada yerləşən Katara Ud Mərkəzində 13-cü Beynəlxalq Musiqi və Rəqs Konqresi keçirilmişdir. Azərbaycan, Türkiyə, Qırğızıstan və Özbəkistan universitetlərinin tərəfdaşlığı ilə keçirilmiş Konqresdə Üzeyir Hacıbəyli adına Bakı Musiqi Akademiyası, Bakı Xoreoqrafiya Akademiyası və Azərbaycan Milli Konservatoriyasının bir qrup musiqi xadimləri də iştirak etmişlər. Konqresin bədii hissəsində Azərbaycan və xarici bəstəkarların musiqilərindən ibarət konsert proqramı olmuşdur. Konsertdə sənətçilərimiz fortepiano, həmçinin fleytada "Ay Laçın", "Sarı gəlin" və digər Azərbaycan xalq mahnılarını ifa etmişlər. Tədbirdə Azərbaycan Respublikasının Qətər Dövlətindəki fövqəladə və səlahiyyətli səfiri Adış Məmmədov iştirak etmişdir. Səfir A.Məmmədov sənətçilər qarşısında çıxış edərək, bu beynəlxalq konqresin əhəmiyyətindən danışmışdır. O, bu kimi tədbirlərin türk dünyasının birliyinin, həmçinin türk xalqlarının ortaq mədəniyyətinin formalaşmasında müstəsna rolunu qeyd etmiş və iştirakçılara gələcək fəaliyyətlərində uğurlar arzulamışdır.
