How should the gathering of religious people be like?

When complimenting Sayyiduna Imam Husayn's رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ study circles, Sayyiduna Ameer Mu'awiyah رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ told a Qurayshi person, "Go to Masjid al-Nabawi, there you will observe people sitting in a study circle with the utmost respect and attention as if birds are sitting on their heads." (Once you see this) you can be assured that this is the gathering of Sayyiduna Imam Abu 'Abdullah Husayn.' رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ. He رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ went on to say, 'This gathering will be completely devoid of jokes.' (Tareekh Ibn ‘Asakir, vol. 14, p. 79)
