OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE APPOINTMENT OF AHER DUT ANGUEI AND RELATED GRIEVANCES.
The leadership of Wundiing Achol Youth association in Juba extends its greetings and respects to the Wundiing Achol community and all it's members residing in Juba and across the State. We wish to clarify our position regarding the appointment of Mr Aher Dut Anguei and the concerns that have been raised in connection with that appointment.
First we acknowledge that the appointment of Mr Aher Dut Anguei was a decision made by the political party concerned. It's the sole responsibility of the party to appoint it's representatives within the community. Such appointments are determined by the party's internal structure and process not by the community.
Secondly we believe that it is not within the constitutional mandate of the community association's leadership to intervene in the matters concerning disagreements among the party members regarding the appointment or party affairs. These issues should be addressed through the appropriate party mechanisms.
Therefore, Wundiing Achol Youth association in Juba maintains a Neutral position and will not take part in the on going debates concerning this matter. We remain committed to promoting unity, peace, and constructive engagement within our community.
