Hi everyone still on my page. It's 2026 already and I'm so looking forward to what God will do this year. Being a pilgrim is hard these days. You see so many things as you travel both online and on foot. A lot of these challenges the conscience, hardens the heart, and sometimes even stuns the spirit into shock, at the pervasiveness of evil, greed and selfishness.
And yet I have never, ever failed to find the goodness of God where He places it. Here is one from the works of praise in a Myanmar children's camp recently. May this drawing shake us out of our stupor and loosen our tongues to praise God in spite of all that is happening around us and to us. As much as God is real in the Holy Scriptures, He is also real in our work, our walk, our weaknesses, and our worship.
May your own pilgrim journeys daily and in this year touch others with the loving kindness of our LORD even as the world turns its face away. Be the light of Christ in the darkness and other lights will shine on you as well. God bless you and your loved ones in the Name of Jesus.

Hello, friends...
Spring of 2024 is upon us. How's your spiritual walk with Jesus going?
I wrapped up 2023 nurturing a young man called Jerald, a pilgrimage of one and a half years, ending soon next month. Initially I was afraid that our generation gap of 40+ years will be too daunting. I lacked faith in the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in each of one. Jerald became a brother in arms, a companion who shared his struggles and was brave enough to seek answers to his disappointments.
Our discipleship process was a make-it-up as we went along kind of thing. Stumbling through breaks of weeks and picking up the golden thread still snaking through the forest of our coexistence, we established an understanding of giving space and time for God to mould and make us more and more in his image.
I took many opportunities to bless Jerald in the spirit of biblical patriarchs, challenging him to greater faith in God, to plumb the depths of God's Word, and in doing so, find within himself, the courage to take God's promises to heart.
Baking a quiche lorraine recently for his family was a natural development of our relationship and an early parting gift. Discipleship is not only about studying God's Word but also making it real.
I shared my struggles too as a pilgrim often facing tribulation. One of my struggles was to ask Jerald to pray for my faltering writing life. I have so many books in mind, the contents pages filled, but only one or two chapters set in text. I am grateful that these years of wandering in the wilderness of searching for God bore a small fruit in a short volume I just published with Amazon Kindle. It's called Clean Up Your Act! An opening act in hopefully long and reassuring series I named wistfully Renaissource Renewal Chapbooks after a long dormant business, my hope and dream is to gently bring others along to rediscover the wonders of knowing God through his word. It had been more than 10 years of exhilarating joy as I searched the mountains and valleys of my imagination and fears for that Spirit whom I wished to call Abba Father.
I hope you will find some solace and hope in reading it as much as I had found filling its pages. God bless you all so much that you never ever want to go away from his presence.
You may prefer to have the paperback version which you can find on Amazon.com.

Clean Up Your Act!: ...for the return of JESUS (Renaissource Renewal Chapbooks)
To clean or not to clean is not really the question. What are we to really be focused on in our Christian lives? Is it presenting a fragile facade of piety and conservative values? Or is it about coming cleaning with what's inside of us? God wants to have a reckoning with us. As the years turn in...

As his eyes wander over the tranquil valley below, the Pilgrim thinks of his old friend. Both of them had been in Sunday School. Jim was a natural leader who shone in Youth Ministry, went on to lead worship during the Celebration Service, and even joined the church's management committee as an adviser with a sterling financial background.
Throughout all these years, Jim never showed any interest in the quiet things that didn't put a spotlight on him or his talents. He loved the adulation, the applause, the awards. But he was not close to God. He didn't know God and was not interested to know Him. He thought he could get by on his service and brilliant contributions.
One day, Jim was struck with a chronic illness. He was desperate, angry, and unforgiving. His cheerleading group saw his lack of faith, prayerful waiting upon God, and the absence of love. Finally, Jim's empty and desolate soul was exposed.
Today, Jim is no longer a Christian if he ever was one. How many Jim's are there in your life?

Opening to his heavily marked, torn and tattered bible today, the Pilgrim reads from Psalm 40...
The beginning inspires him to wait for God, to cry to God, to climb out of the Pit of Depression he had fallen into, to let God set him securely upon the Rock of His salvation.
The Pilgrim sings a new song to God in the starry heaven, a song he has never sung, a song from deep inside his heart.
He wishes he had sung this song that God put inside him so that many will hear, some will fear God, and put their trust in Him, in Him alone.
In the wilderness, the Pilgrim's Song rises and falls. He sings with his spirit, that another fallen creature, may rise like he does, and echo the song to another.

Praise and worship is all about God. Just as David extolled the attributes of God in all of the psalms he wrote, we magnify Him, lift up His Name and glorify Him. Together with the host of angels we raise our voices to Him. Not to ourselves, not focused on you and me. It's all about Him, folks. It has always been and will always be this, for eternity.
