There’s just so much love for this. ❤️

Many times, we see wounded children trapped in adult bodies, expressing unmet needs through destructive/damaging behaviours that they arn’t aware of.

These behaviours could then have an impact on people around them (perhaps causing others’ annoyance which results in disengagement or withdrawal) or an impact on their children’s emotional growth.

These are undesirable as it causes further hurt to themselves and others.

Sometimes, therapy is a place to work on specific issues, phobia or learning certain skills.

And more often than not, it is also a place for reparenting; having emotions accepted, acknowledged and validated in a safe place, meeting the unmet needs that we longed to have as a child.

This means feeling heard, seen and understood.

Over time, we learn more about ourselves and increases self-awareness in terms of our emotions, thoughts and behaviour.

With that foundation, we can soothe our inner child lovingly. This is a start to self-soothing and emotional regulation.

Food for thought

We have zero control over anyone, but the great news is we have 💯 control over what we will think, say, and do.
We underestimate this amazing power we have to choose our attitude and behavior in every situation.

Don’t try to force or chase people, be exactly who you are, accepting and loving yourself completely, and wish those who are not meant for you, well from afar.
Remember who you are. You are a blessing.
Tag someone who is a blessing in your life. 🥰

A gentle reminder ❤️😊

One of the most positive things you can know is that you matter and that you are worthy and deserving of finding, having, and/or creating an amazing life.

YOU matter. Why? Because you are alive. The Universe loved you enough to bring you here. Whether you realize it yet or not, you are loved and you have something special to share. And, whether you may or not yet know what it is you contribute to the world at large, your very presence is what matters most.

Comparison is a waste of time. No need to be a mogul, celebrity, athlete, or other person in the spotlight — just be here now, and recognize the gift in that. Remember, you are worthy and deserving of whatever reality you seek to create. And you are free to make the choices that provide you with the best and most fulfilling life you can have. Starting now...

Be it you are working for an organisation or you are a SAHM who’s caring for your children, burnout could happen at anytime.

In our last post, we highlighted the 3 main elements of burnout. If you are currently experiencing them or hope to prevent burnout from happening, read on…

If you’re currently identifying those red flags, it is best to take some time to reflect healthily and re-evaluate your goals/priorities in life.

More often than not, we need to have a clearer understanding of our personal values. With that, we can then work towards aligning our values with what we are currently doing. This could be done through discussions with your partner and/or a life coach, possibly redirecting your outlook towards fulfillment in life and job satisfaction.

Do remember to take time for relaxation and self-care while working on your personal goals.

To manage stress coming from the commitments that you have, it is important to build our physical, emotional and social well-being. Refer to the 10 self-care tips that we have carefully curated! This list is not exhaustive but hopes it gets you thinking & acting on!

Last but not least, you may consult a GP or refer yourself to a mental health professional should you need further help. You are not alone in this journey & help is available when you need. ❤️ 10/07/2021

You’re learning & growing to become a better person everyday. Be proud of how far you’ve come 💪🏼❤️

Remember your happiness, success, and growth is an inside job.
Don’t be affected at all by what others have to say about you.

Only you know you and your life. Be proud of who you are and all that you are every day beautiful ones.

You are magnificent, living life one day at a time, one step at a time. 🙌

Personal boundaries are important.

Boundaries are a form of empowerment, and a way for us to align with our identity, our desires, and where we stand in the world.
When you don’t have boundaries, you are sending out a signal that you don’t know what you want, that you’ll take whatever you can get, and that you won’t put up a fight along the way.

When you don’t have boundaries, you feel like you are constantly living in a “doormat” mentality.
Setting boundaries is a form of self-respect and self-love, it is not a punishment for others.

By respecting yourself enough to set the necessary boundaries in your life, you’ll discover a unique sense of freedom and peace of mind.

Make a promise to yourself to get in touch with your needed boundaries and practice enforcing them. ❤️

(I told my therapist that I let some things slide that bother me to "keep the peace" and he told me "that sounds nice, but you're keeping the peace around you.... what about the peace in you."-)
