Say hello to Nicole and Brenda — our Events & Programming interns from Ngee Ann Polytechnic!

At Sentosa, variety is the norm. With events happening year-round, Nicole brings Movies by the Beach and Sunset Yoga to our guests, while Brenda brings the energy with Street Entertainment and our crowd-favorite K-pop Random Play Dance sessions.

Their days are packed with coordinating part-timer schedules and payroll, curating movie lineups and entertainment acts, ensuring flawless event delivery, and gathering guest insights. These behind-the-scenes efforts are what make every activation feel effortless. When peak seasons like Halloween Spooky Fun Nights roll around, they dive into event production, décor setup, and running competitions—often dedicating their weekends to keeping the island alive with excitement!

Each activation—whether intimate or grand—adds to Sentosa’s energy and creates reasons for families and visitors to return.

It’s a wrap!

Last month, our SDC interns completed an exciting series of learning journeys - planned and led by themselves, for their fellow interns!

From start to finish, they took charge of:
- Planning the routes
- Curating the experiences
- Showcasing the unique charm of Sentosa’s various precincts

We capped off the month with a graduation part to celebrate their accomplishment of successfully completing their internship with SDC.

Halfway there and going strong!

Our Sentosa interns met up earlier this week for their Mid-point Milestone.

One of the highlights of the session was an inspiring sharing by one of our SDC staff. Our interns got the inside scoop on what it’s like to build a career with us, adding valuable perspective to their Sentosa experience.

Our interns then split into teams to collab on their next task, planning and conducting a Learning Journey for their fellow interns. Drawing on their newfound knowledge and fresh perspective of Sentosa, the Learning Journeys will showcase our island’s world-class offerings.

We can’t wait to see what the second half of this programme brings. Watch this space for more updates on their Learning Journeys!

Here’s wishing all Muslims Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Exclusive Sentosa green packets were given to our Muslim colleagues and our Ticketing Operations as well as Service Ambassador & Transport teams also celebrated with snacks and a potluck!

We finally held our first fully in-person townhall on Tuesday where Sentosians could reconnect and celebrate our achievements in the past year! Our CE kickstarted the session by sharing our new focus areas include building a Strong, Caring, and Future-ready SDC and outlining the future opportunities that lay ahead as tourism regains momentum.

We were also thrilled to celebrate our first time being on Singapore’s Best Employers List 2023 (https://www.straitstimes.com/best-employers-singapore-2023)! 🏆As we continue to develop an efficient and purposeful workforce that is supportive, flexible, and productive, we remember the importance of self-care and caring for the community. Hence, as a token of our gratitude and a reminder to care for ourselves and others, our leaders handed out cookies baked by Persons with Disabilities at to each Sentosians ❤️ As we step forth into the new financial year, we are excited to work with our Sentosians and partners to deliver memorable experiences and build a future-ready and inclusive island for all! 🏝️

Last Friday, we went on a little trip to the Southern Islands with our Island Partners for a beach clean-up, and collected a total of 56kg of trash! We also had the privilege of having share with us more about Marine Ecology and Conservation, and founders show us five tiny homes on Lazarus Island that will be available for booking from March 2023 🤩🏡
