The 17th Asian Festival of Children's Content has officially ended! 🎉
Hosted by NLB for the 13th year running, AFCC 2026 opened last Thursday 21 May with a celebration of stories, creativity and community. This year's theme “The Worlds We Make” reminds us that children's literature is both a mirror and a map, reflecting our diverse realities while guiding young readers to find their footing in a fast-changing world.
The festival featured over 100 programmes and speakers, including an inaugural Reading Forum on building meaningful reading experiences for children, and we are also proud to have three of our own NLB librarians — Nicola, Lisa and Shahril, share their expertise with participants.
Congratulations to all the winners, your stories will continue to spark curiosity and nurture empathy in young readers for years to come! 📚
