Dear Friends, Interest Group Development Division is looking for volunteers who wish to participate in Chingay 2014 as designers of the float and also performers. We will be promoting home gardening interest groups to the community and we aim to use Chingay 2014 to bring out the message where everyone can owns your own garden at home. Be it in the bathroom, kitchen, balcony, living room etc. Hence, our theme for next year would be "Gardens In The Homes".

We will have a contingent to present our home gardening concept and we are seeking for volunteers who wish to join us as :

1. Home Garden Designing Team - You will get a chance to learn how to do garden landscaping within your home areas and subsequently bring the concept on the Chingay Float. We will cap at 80 pax and currently still require about 20 pax. (Only applicable to existing or newly formed gardening IGs leaders/ members)

2. Performers - You will get a chance to don on the costume and dance on the parade ground to bring out the message. We are looking at 300 volunteers to join us and we are still recruiting. For students who wish to join, CIP hours will be given.

Please do not be alarmed by the number of trainings as Dec trainings will not be conducted unless necessary. In addition, volunteers will be broken up into different groups thus you might only need to turn up on the days require for your segment.

Hobby interest groups will be celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with residents at the Punggol Waterway, on Sun 16 Sep. See giant sea creature balloon sculptures and art pieces made from recycled materials and join the 3,000 strong balloon lantern procession along the waterway! See you there!! :)
