Child safeguarding can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be. At TTKC Child Safeguarding workshop, we break it down for you:
Recognise signs of abuse and neglect. This may be an obvious injury, or repeated dsyregulated behaviours that may be misunderstood as “misconduct”.
Handle disclosure with confidence. Know what to say when a child shares something difficult.
Develop reporting pathways. Reflect on your own threshold, understand available tools, and build safeguarding protocols.
We wish to thank and for recognising the importance of safeguarding and partnering with us on this pilot. We wish to also thank all the participants for your honesty in sharing your dilemmas, uncertainties and struggles.
Violence against children is hard to face. And all of us — as practitioners, volunteers, adults — can support each other to learn to do better.
Comment if you would like to participate in the next run. Drop us a message if you’d like to explore bringing this workshop to your team!

Stay informed, and let’s keep meeting the children where they are.

What is “child-centric”?
Is “process-oriented” not “outcome-driven”?
We continue the Myth Vs Fact series to unpack the buzzwords with real, human experience behind them. This is where AI cannot go.

TTKC values relational work, because lasting change happens through people. In a time where social connections are weakening, TTKC chooses to build shared spaces, shared cultures, and deeper bonds in the neighbourhood and beyond.
If CNY is a season of abundance and reunion for you, consider sharing your blessings and give to a cause that turns strangers into friends, and neighbourhoods into communities! 🧧

If you are a social worker who connects well with children and believes strongly in 1️⃣ advocating for children’s voices and 2️⃣ strengthening the ecosystem, let’s talk! 🗣️

Dear Spring Cleaners 💛
We love the heart.
Not the surprise bags.
Unplanned donations = staff sorting,
Not kids learning and playing.
Please check first.
Please don’t be offended if we don’t reply or accept.
Sorting massive waste is not the responsibility of charities working with children.
Thank you for being kind and thoughtful ✨

Two TTKCs. Two unique year-end celebrations. 💛
At Lengkok Bahru, our 6-month-old community showed that you don’t need a physical centre to build something real. 🦄 After months of outdoor explorations, they transformed the space into an outdoor art gallery — complete with portrait booths, field games, and even a brand-new game they invented themselves!
At Boon Lay, our 6-year-old community kept its beloved traditions alive: a live satay station, a community potluck, and new treats like muah chee made by the youth. The highlight? A Nerf War tournament — children and adults teaming up for the final showdown after months of learning how to play this highly triggering game (pun intended) in a safe, regulated way 🔫🦺
What tied both celebrations together was the TTKC spirit: playing together, laughing together, eating together — and simply being with one another.
Huge thank you to our team, volunteers, and supporters for holding these spaces with us✨
If you’d like to help us sustain TTKC, please support our fundraising campaign ending 31 Dec.
🎯Updated fundraising target: $30K

A sanctuary and a bridge.
When a child we know repeatedly acts out or does not seem motivated to “improve”, TTKC recognises adverse childhood experiences as one of a key factors causing these behaviours.
TTKC is first a sanctuary for the child to learn about self expression and regulation; we are second a bridge to inform and strengthen the ecosystem so that they can better support the child. All these can only be properly done if we intentionally approach our work with a trauma-informed lens.
📚 Get the “Good Gang” book to learn more about support for children, and support us in our fundraising campaign!
🎯 Fundraising target $38k, one more week to go!

Super proud of our TTKC youth volunteers!
As the big brothers and sisters of “The Good Gang”, they role model positive values to the younger children and are the best culture builders in the community. The future is brighter with them!
Many thanks to for the feature and Minister .lee for the kind words for TTKC!
$8k raised this week 💪
Fundraising gap: $55k → $47k 📉
$30 donations get you a good book or a good t-shirt, and most importantly, keeps the TTKC good gang going.

3Pumpkins is an non-profit arts organisation based in Singapore. We believe strongly in social engagement and collaboration, and the role of the arts in connecting and building communities.
In 2016, we initiated Let’s Go PLay OutSide! (LGPO!), a social practice that activates public playgrounds to engage and empower children in the neighbourhood through art and play. Through regular meetings at the playground, the programme builds connections and resilience among the youngest and most vulnerable members of the community. LGPO! has been conducted in rental flat estates in Toa Payoh and Boon Lay, and was invited by South Central Community Family Service Centre to explore the synergy of creative arts and social work in community engagement. The learnings from LGPO! would culminate into community place-making project, Seeing the Obvious, featuring creative interventions in public spaces that addresses real community concerns. Our collaboration with Nanyang Polytechnic School of Design received City of Love award (2019) for sustainable communities.
3Pumpkins runs two social spaces in the heartlands. The first being 3P Community Arts Lab, a knowledge-sharing arts makers-space located in Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre (Nee Soon Central) aimed at encouraging social interactions and conversations. The other is Tak Takut Kids Club, a social space for children in a low-income neighbourhood in Boon Lay to connect and build self confidence and community resilience through the arts.
3Pumpkins has also designed and produced works like contemporary giant puppet performance The Rubbish Prince and other multi-disciplinary participatory projects commissioned by Esplanade – Theatres by the Bay, Drama Box, National Arts Council and SAFRA. Our latest project is a listening programme 大声D茶室/Warung Cakap Apa aimed at providing content in the vernacular for seniors who are made more isolated due to social distancing measures.
