Watch out! Scammers are out to prey on fans looking to score tickets! 🎫

⚠️They may pose as ticket sellers and lure victims to pay for tickets that they won’t deliver.

⚠️They may also sell invalid tickets that victims realise only when they are denied entry at the concert venue.

✅ Buy tickets for BTS concerts in Singapore only through the official ticket agent.

🚨 𝐁𝐄𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄: 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬! 🛡️

Scammers have been impersonating government officials and claiming victims are involved in criminal activities. They may pressure you to transfer money or cryptocurrency, or hand over valuables (e.g., gold and jewellery) for “investigation”.

Remember: government officials will 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 ask you to transfer funds, surrender valuables, or disclose your banking details or OTP.

They trick victims into sharing their WhatsApp OTPs by posing as their friends and claiming that their OTPs were wrongly sent to the victims.

⚠️ 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰!

- Active two-step verification for your WhatsApp account
- Never share any OTPs sent to your phone with anyone
- Remove unknown devices linked to your WhatsApp account by going to ‘Settings’>’Linked Devices’

🚨 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 — 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐔𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝! 🏠

Have expensive shoes, bicycles, or other valuables? Keep them inside your unit and away from common corridors. Items left unattended along corridors or near windows are easy targets for opportunistic theft!

Remember:
✅ Store your valuables inside your unit at all times.
✅ Avoid leaving items near windows that are accessible from the corridor.
✅ If you see any suspicious activity, call 999 immediately.

A Traffic Police officer shared how every phone call brought dread, knowing it meant someone had died and another family would be grieving. He recalled fatal accidents where lives were cut short in an instant, including a case where a speeding driver killed a young couple, leaving their loved ones struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

The hardest moments come after the crash. Telling families that their son, daughter or partner will never return home is something that stays with the officer. He described how a victim had just said goodbye to his family hours earlier, yet never made it back, leaving relatives at a loss over how to break the news to others.

Even after the scene is cleared, the pain lingers. The officer shared that he sometimes cries alone, carrying the weight of the loss these families endure. These are not just statistics, but someone’s loved one, gone in an instant.

Every journey is shared. Slow down, give way and stay focused. Looking out for one another reduces risk, keeps traffic moving smoothly, and helps ensure everyone gets home safely to their loved ones.

“Hello, remember me?” If you have heard this from a call, be wary and exercise caution!🚨

Scammers are posing as friends to trick you into transferring money urgently.

In some instances, after money transfer has been made, some victims have even received a follow up call from a scammer posing as a police officer, alleging that the earlier transfer was linked to criminal activities.

Victims would be asked to transfer more money to a “safety account” to support investigations.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟:

‼️Always verify who you are speaking to and never transfer money to unknown persons.

⚠️Government officials, including the Police, will never ask you to transfer money or hand over valuables over a phone call.
