Building a Safer Community, Together.

On 23 May 2026, Kampong Java NPC held a SGSecure roadshow in conjunction with the Safety and Security Day at Park Infinia.

Residents learnt about the SGSecure movement and the “Run, Hide, Tell” steps in the event of a terror attack:

- Run : Choose the safest route, move quickly and quietly, and stay out of sight. Do not surrender or negotiate. Leave your belongings behind and encourage others to leave with you.

- Hide : Stay out of view. Block doors with heavy objects like tables, move away from doors, keep quiet, and switch your phone to silent mode.

- Tell : When safe, call the Police at 999. If you cannot talk, SMS 70999. Share your location and details of the attackers. You can also use the SGSecure app to send photos and videos to the Police.

Residents also picked up life-saving skills through the “Press, Tie,Tell” method to help injured casualties.

It was an engaging and educational event for all.

Monthly Scam Bulletin #5 (15 May 2026)

“Hello, remember me?” If you have heard this from a call, be wary and exercise caution!🚨

Scammers are posing as friends to trick you into transferring money urgently.

In some instances, after money transfer has been made, some victims have even received a follow up call from a scammer posing as a police officer, alleging that the earlier transfer was linked to criminal activities.

Victims would be asked to transfer more money to a “safety account” to support investigations.

How you can protect yourself:

‼️Always verify who you are speaking to and never transfer money to unknown persons.

⚠️Government officials, including the Police, will never ask you to transfer money or hand over valuables over a phone call.

Unsure if it’s a scam? Call and check with the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799 ☎️
