“Children are the sunshine that warms a parent's heart, even on the cloudiest days.”

June arrives with school holidays,
a season for little adventures, laughter, and time spent together.

Bring your children outdoors.
Walk beneath the trees, cycle along winding paths, or watch the clouds drift across the sky.

The sun may brighten the day,
but it is the smiles of our children that brighten our hearts.

In a world that often rushes from one task to the next,
a family outing becomes a different kind of pause —
one filled with conversation, play, and precious moments that become memories.

At Hush TeaBar, we believe rest is not only found in solitude,
but also in the company of those we love.

This school holiday, have a break, have a pause.
Let the sunshine warm your face,
and let your children remind you how simple joy can be.

Growing up comes with many emotions. Learning how to navigate them starts young.

HUSH❤️Young is a specially curated 4-Zone Journey that helps students build emotional awareness, resilience, and self-care through meaningful experiences and guided reflection. Together, we create a safe space where young minds can pause, connect, and thrive.

Under the Bodhi tree,
a prince became Buddha
still, awakened, and serene.

In the quiet of prayer,
he sat untroubled,
breathing through the weight of the world
with compassion and forgiveness.

Inhale what burdens the heart.
Exhale what no longer needs to stay.

For in every pause,
mindfulness begins gently within us.

From us at Hush TeaBar,
we wish you a peaceful Vesak Day.
May this sacred day remind us
to slow down, reflect softly,
and awaken clarity within the silence.

And perhaps, in a single mindful pause,
something within you may bloom
quietly, yet deeply clear.

“Thank you, Mum.”

We close this month with a quiet acknowledgement
to our mothers
for the time they give,
the sacrifices unseen,
and the love that stays through every season of our lives.

May this be a gentle reminder
for mothers to take a pause from their endless duties,
to rest without guilt,
and to appreciate themselves with the same tenderness
they so freely give to others.

Sometimes gratitude is not found in grand words,
but in presence, remembrance, and the softness of simply saying:
thank you.

This week’s sign - THANK YOU.

A hand rests gently on the chin,
then arcs outward with an open palm
a gesture of sincerity, openness, and heartfelt gratitude.

May this sign remind us
to acknowledge our mothers softly, lovingly, and often.

And to every mother,
may you remember this too:
you deserve rest, care, and gentleness as well.

At the third stop of the Hush Experience journey, they express their reflections through tea-ink on canvas, using nature as their brush to bring quiet thoughts to life.

As part of our 4 Zones Hush Experience, this gentle practice invites you to pause, rest, and create in stillness. Join us at Hush TeaBar, and let your own reflections unfold, softly.

A pilgrimage of faith,
across distance and devotion,
to seek forgiveness with an open heart.

Hajj.

Where millions gather in Mecca,
and silence humbles the soul before the Divine.

Around the Black Stone,
prayers rise softly into the heavens,
carried by hope, repentance, and peace.

From us at Hush TeaBar,
may this sacred journey remind us
to heal gently,
through compassion, forgiveness, and love for one another.

And in a restless world and of war,
may we pause long enough...
to choose peace.

“A mother’s arms are more comforting than anyone else’s.” -Princess Diana

Comfort begins with the person who first held us close.

Mothers are often the first to soften our fears,
to stay beside us through sadness, worry, and growing pains,
offering warmth without asking for anything in return.

Their embrace carries a quiet reassurance,
like when we were children, cradled gently in their arms.

To comfort is a mother’s instinct -
woven through love, patience, and devotion.

This week, we share the sign for COMFORT
two hands moving softly,
like gentle support given wave upon wave.

May this sign remind our mothers
that their presence has always been a place of comfort for us.

And may they, too, find space to rest,
to be comforted,
and cared for in return.

“We have only one mother in this life.
Take good care of her too.”

Mothers spend their lives caring for their children
giving their time, their strength, their quiet sacrifices in ways words can never fully hold.

So this is a gentle reminder for mothers:
to pause,
to rest,
to care for yourselves first, too.

For even the strongest hearts deserve softness.
Even the hands that hold others need to be held.

There is only one version of you we know by heart,
through your warmth, your presence, your love that stays with us through every season of life.

This week, we share the sign for CARE
a quiet circle between mother and child,
held together in love, unbroken.

At Hush TeaBar, may this sign remind every mother
that care should return to you as well.

At Hush TeaBar, we believe mental wellbeing must move beyond awareness - into everyday spaces where people feel safe to pause, express, and reconnect.

Our Founder, Anthea Ong, is also the Founder of SG Mental Health Matters, a citizen-led mental health movement advancing public conversation, policy engagement, and systems-level approaches to mental health and wellbeing in Singapore.

SG Mental Health Matters has released "From Coping to Flourishing: Reflections and Recommendations", a public consultation report on Singapore’s National Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy.

The findings point to an important shift needed in Singapore’s next phase of mental health and wellbeing: from awareness to literacy, from service availability to trust, and from passive consultation to genuine participation.

This resonates deeply with Hush’s work.

Through silence, sign language, tea, reflection, and shared presence, we see how emotional literacy, psychological safety, and human connection are not abstract ideas - they are everyday practices that need to be felt, not just spoken about.

May we continue building a society where people are not only coping, but are supported to live, work, care, and flourish more humanely together.
