Central Singapore Community Development Council - CDC Our mission is to Aggregate resources, Build capabilities and Connect communities. BUILD - Capabilities and capacities in partners and networks.

Our Vision:
To build a Do-Good District and help our residents live The Better Life! The five CDCs also have a shared mission of:

AGGREGATE - Resources from the CDC’s networks to meet community needs. CONNECT - Communities to expand networks and drive community programmes. Our District:
Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) serves close to one million residents living in the Central Singapore area and envisions itself as a do-good district. The CDC offers a suite of 52 ongoing programmes spanning across five focus areas towards The Better Life:

1) Physical Wellness & Sustainability
2) Financial & Social Wellness
3) Socio-Emotional Wellness & Inclusiveness
4) Service To Others (Volunteerism & Giving)
5) Lifelong Learning (SkillsFuture)

Aside from meeting ground needs through localised initiatives, the CDC also value-adds to the community as a whole by developing district-level initiatives, creating sustainable programmes, as well as supporting meaningful community projects. Working with a variety of partners such as schools, voluntary welfare organisations and the grassroots, the CDC aggregates and connects various needs/resources for a more holistic approach to community building. GRCs and SMCs under Central Singapore District:
Ang Mo Kio GRC, Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, Jalan Besar GRC, Tanjong Pagar GRC, Kebun Baru SMC, Marymount SMC, Potong Pasir SMC, Radin Mas SMC and Yio Chu Kang SMC.

Our mobile Kitchen of Love @ Central made its third foray out yesterday. This time, we went to Toa Payoh West Community Centre, where we had the privilege of serving breakfast to 400 seniors from Toa Payoh.

We were glad to be joined by; Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development and Grassroots Adviser for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC (Toa Payoh West-Thomson); Denise Phua Lay Peng, Mayor of Central Singapore District; Mr Chia Ah Sah, JP, BBM (L), PB, grassroots leader and CCC committee member, on behalf of Cai Yinzhou 蔡引舟 | 🇸🇬 Member of Parliament, Grassroots Adviser for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC (Toa Payoh Central) and Wee Wei Ling, Executive Director of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant.

We believe that meaningful work is never done alone. It is made possible when people and partners come together with a shared spirit of giving. We are grateful to our long-time business partners MONTREUX PATISSERIE, ZENXIN Organic Food Singapore, Indoguna Singapore and Kwong Cheong Thye for coming alongside us to make yesterday morning possible.

From a warm breakfast to lively performances, sing-alongs and plenty of smiles, it was a morning filled with good food, good company and even better memories.

Here’s to continuing to come together, give back and make a little difference in our community. ❤️

🌿 Thank You for Joining Us at the Central Singapore Market! 🌿

A big thank you to all our residents, neighbours and friends who came by and supported our Central Singapore Market! 💚

Organised by Central Singapore CDC, this is a “Market with a Difference” — bringing together local farmers, entrepreneurs and artists to showcase their products and talents, while championing meaningful causes such as sustainability, healthy lifestyles and supporting local. 🌱♻️

We were so happy to bring this meaningful initiative to our neighbourhood, together with Stevens Residents’ Network and Central Singapore CDC. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it happen! 🤝💚

🎶 A special shout-out to our very own Balmoral resident, Mr Reyhan Mishra Reyhan, for treating us to a wonderful live performance! ❤️ It was especially meaningful to have one of our own residents sharing his talent with the community.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came down! Your support for our vendors, local entrepreneurs and community initiatives is what made the afternoon so special. 🌿✨

We hope you enjoyed discovering something new, meeting your neighbours and being part of a market that celebrates not just what we buy, but also the causes and community we support.

And a big thank you to all our wonderful vendors who joined us: 🙌

AI, robots, coding and plenty of curious young minds at work! 🤖💡

It was wonderful to see our children experimenting, creating and asking questions at the launch of the fifth season of My Digital Bootcamp!

Technology will keep changing. Our job is to make sure our children have the opportunity and confidence to grow with it.

That is why Central Singapore CDC started My Digital Bootcamp with UOB: to give children who may have fewer opportunities to access technology the chance to learn, experiment and create. We want them not just to be users of technology, but where possible, wise and confident creators of it too. 🤖

Seven years on, our partnership with UOB continues to grow. 💪🏼 With UOB’s further $500,000 commitment, another 1,000 children will get to build digital-making skills and explore AI through age-appropriate, hands-on learning.

A big thank you to UOB and its volunteers for walking this journey with us, and to all our principals, teachers and schools for working with us to bring these opportunities to our students.

Special shoutout to Minister Jasmin Lau 刘洁敏, for supporting our children and for joining us to launch this new season!

At Central Singapore CDC, we bring needs, resources and good partners together so that more people can have the opportunities they need to build a better life.

To our corporate friends: want to make a difference too? Come do good with us! 💛

🤖 AI is moving fast, but learning how to use it doesn’t have to be intimidating.

From creating images and videos to summarising documents, taking meeting notes and exploring AI Agents, there’s always something new to discover.

That’s why we’re bringing FREE Community AI Clinics to residents!

Whether you’re curious about AI, looking to work smarter, or simply wondering how it can help in everyday life, these beginner-friendly sessions are a chance to learn, experiment and ask questions (no prior AI knowledge needed).

At Central CDC, we want residents to have the confidence and capabilities to navigate an ever-changing world and live The Better Life.

Let’s learn and discover what AI can do, together! 😊
