๐ฎโโ๏ธ Honouring Women in Service โ Inspiring the Next Generation ๐
As part of our reflections following International Womenโs Day 2026, our new recruits recently had the privilege of visiting Pat Musk MBE JP, who made history as the first appointed Sheriff of St Helena on 14 September 1994.
During the visit, Pat shared her experiences, challenges, and achievements from her time in service, offering invaluable insight and inspiration to our officers at the very start of their careers. Her dedication and trailblazing role continue to pave the way for women in policing and public service on the island.
Moments like these are a powerful reminder of the importance of learning from those who have helped shape our community and service.
Thank you, Pat, for your time, wisdom, and continued inspiration. ๐

๐ Friday Night Patrols & Community Engagement ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
Last night (Friday 27th March) our officers were out on foot patrol, engaging with the community and maintaining a visible presence across Jamestown.
It was also a special evening for some of our newer recruits, who had the opportunity to meet Sally, a former local police officer.
She shared valuable advice and delivered an inspiring pep talk to the team โ a moment that wonโt be forgotten anytime soon.
We were also proud to support New Horizons at their end-of-year BBQ for the children. Alongside spending time with the young people, we made a donation to contribute towards their activities and wellbeing.
As the evening continued, officers returned to foot patrol during the night-time economy, finishing the shift down at the seafront to ensure everyone could enjoy their night safely.
Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat and helped make it a positive evening. ๐ค
