MADE IN KONO as community based organization continue to engage and educate schools around Kono District about the health, growth and legal consequences of drugs (Kush & Tramadol).

Today we engaged pupils at Koquima (Tankoro Chiefdom-Kono District), and they were accommodating and gave us the audience for us to preach about the eradication of Kush in our society.

The fight against Kush is a most win and we must collaborate with state actors to fight against this great menace in our society.👍

The community-based organization MADE IN KONO has taken a bold step in the ongoing battle against drug addiction among young people. With the resurgence of the “Kush & Tramadol” epidemic in the region, the organization is reinvigorating its school-to-school Anti-Drugs Campaign to raise awareness and foster a drug-free society.

Drug addiction, particularly among the youth, has posed a significant threat to the growth and development of the Kono District community. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, progressive young individuals have declared the rampant use of “Kush & Tramadol” as a national epidemic. MADE IN KONO is leading the charge, urging everyone to unite against this pressing issue.

Public sensitization and education are at the core of their strategy to combat this menace effectively. The organization believes that by equipping the community, especially the youth, with knowledge about the dangers of drug addiction, they can begin to eradicate this crisis at its roots.

As the campaign gains momentum, schools throughout Kono District will be visited by MADE IN KONO representatives, who will engage students in discussions, workshops, and awareness programs. By fostering an environment of open dialogue and education, the organization aims to change mindsets and save lives.

The MADE IN KONO Anti-Drugs Campaign serves as a shining example of community-driven efforts to combat the scourge of drug addiction. It is a call to action for everyone in the region to unite in saying NO TO DRUGS and work towards a brighter, drug-free future for Kono District.
