Hargeisa,Somaliland. Hargeisa (Somali: Hargaysa, Arabic: هرجيسا) is the largest city in Somaliland, located in the Woqooyi Galbeed region.
Hargeisa is the capital of Somaliland, a self-declared republic that is internationally recognized. It was the colonial capital of the British Somaliland protectorate from 1941 to 1960. The city is situated in a valley in the Galgodon (Ogo) highlands, and sits at an elevation of 4,377 feet (1,334 m). Home to rock art from the Neolithic period, Hargeisa is also a commercial hub for precious stone-cutting, construction, retail services and importing/exporting, among other activities.[1]

Ciidanka Somaliland iyo shacabkuba waxay diyaar u yihiin inay Amniga iyo horumarka Dalkooda ka shaqeeyaan.
Dawladana waxaan leeyahay calooshooda u shaqaystayaasha iyo Musuqmaasuqa dalka ka sifeeya.
Maxaa keenay inay culimada iyo siyaasiyiinta iyo ganacsatada qaar caruurtooda ay dibada gaystaan kuwii Somaliland daganaa ee la doonayay inay caalamka waxbarasho iyo caafimaadba u tagaan oo ay passport kooda isticmaalaan loo diidan yahay.
Reer Somaliland kala saara Qaranka iyo Qabiilka.
Diintiina islaamkana xejista.

The importance of Israel recognizing Somaliland can be understood across diplomatic, strategic, economic, and regional dimensions. Below is a clear, balanced breakdown—especially relevant in the Horn of Africa context.
⸻
1. Diplomatic Legitimacy for Somaliland
Recognition by Israel would be symbolically powerful because:
• Israel is a UN member with strong ties to the U.S. and Western allies.
• It could encourage other countries to consider recognizing Somaliland.
• It strengthens Somaliland’s long-standing claim of being a de facto independent state since 1991 with stable governance.
Even one high-profile recognition can shift international perceptions.
⸻
2. Strategic Value for Israel
Somaliland is located near:
• Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a critical global shipping chokepoint.
• The Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, vital for Israel’s trade and security.
For Israel, recognition could lead to:
• Intelligence and security cooperation
• Counterterrorism coordination
• A strategic presence in the Horn of Africa to balance regional rivals (e.g., Iran’s influence)
⸻
3. Economic and Technological Cooperation
Israel is strong in:
• Agriculture (water management, irrigation)
• Technology and cybersecurity
• Health and innovation
Somaliland could benefit from:
• Israeli investment and expertise
• Development of ports, agriculture, and tech hubs
• Job creation and skills transfer
This would align well with Somaliland’s stability and reform-oriented governance.
⸻
4. Strengthening Somaliland–UAE–Israel Axis
The UAE already has major interests in Berbera Port.
Israel and the UAE are close allies.
Recognition could:
• Deepen a trilateral partnership (Somaliland–UAE–Israel)
• Increase Somaliland’s regional relevance
• Integrate Somaliland into new Middle East–Africa trade and security networks
⸻
5. Pressure on the International Community
Israel’s recognition could:
• Force international organizations and Western governments to revisit Somaliland’s status
• Challenge the long-standing policy of treating Somalia as a single federal entity despite political realities
It would not bring instant UN recognition—but it would break the diplomatic silence.
⸻
6. Risks and Challenges
However, there are important downsides:
• Strong opposition from the Federal Government of Somalia
• Possible backlash from Arab League and African Union members
• Risk of Somaliland being pulled into Middle East geopolitical rivalries
• Domestic sensitivities, as the issue of Israel is politically and religiously sensitive in the region
Bottom Line
Israel recognizing Somaliland would be a strategic breakthrough, not a final solution.
• For Somaliland: a major step toward international legitimacy
• For Israel: a strategic foothold in a critical region
• For the region: a shift in Horn of Africa geopolitics
But it would require careful diplomacy to avoid regional isolation or internal backlash.

Shacabka reer Hargeisa yaan khudaarta wadanka dibadiisa la idinka keenin wax hala beerto.
Qabyaalad waa qodax mudan,
Qaranimadii dhaawacday,
Qalbi bay kala jeexday,
Qoomammo bay reebtay.
Waxay naga qaaday midnimo,
Waxay naga qaadday maskax,
Waxay nagu ridey mugdi,
Oo naga leexisay mustaqbal.
Aan ka guurno qabyaalad,
Aan qaadanno qaranimo,
Aan wadaagno hal calan,
Iyo hal qaddiyad oo qura.
Somaliland waa hoygeennay,
Waa hooyo wada nuujisay,
Qolo walba way leedahay,
Qabiil walba waa ku dhex jiraa.
Qaran baa naga weyn qabiil,
Qurux baa naga weyn colaad,
Qaddarin baa naga weyn naceyb,
Qofnimo baa naga weyn kala qoqob.
Haddaynu midowno maanta,
Berri wuu midab roonaan,
Horumar baa dhici doona,
Haddii qalbiyadu heshiiyaan.
Aan taageerno dalkayga,
Aan tirno kala qoqobka,
Aan dhisno Somaliland,
Gacmaha wadajir loo qabsaday.
Qabiil waa magac uun,
Qaranimadu waa nolol,
Qabyaalad waa burbur,
Somaliland waa badbaado.
