The Ceeb-diid IDP Center in the Afgio district of Middle Shabelle, located in the Southwest State of Somalia, recently conducted a joint rapid assessment in collaboration with LM International and the HECO Organization.

During the assessment, the team found a large influx of new mothers, children, and elderly people who were not receiving any humanitarian assistance. The affected population is suffering from lack of shelter, food, sanitation facilities (particularly toilets), nutrition support, and essential health care services.

World Health Day

Visit by LM International ’s M&E Team to HECO on November 14, 2024

Today, on November 14, 2024, Help the Community Organizations (HECO) had the privilege of hosting a team from LM International at our offices. This visit was a part of an important partnership assessment, where LM International’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team conducted a thorough assessment of HECO’s ongoing projects, administrative practices, and overall impact in the community.

The purpose of this visit was to evaluate HECO’s performance and ensure that our efforts align with the high standards expected in our collaboration with LM International. Monitoring and evaluation are key processes in organizational partnerships, as they provide both partners with insights into the progress being made and any areas that may need improvement.

During this assessment, the team examined various aspects of our work, including our strategies, project implementation, and the ways in which we engage with and support the communities we serve. This type of detailed evaluation allows us to reflect on our achievements, understand the challenges we may face, and refine our methods to deliver even greater impact.

HECO is committed to transparency and growth, and we welcome opportunities like this to collaborate closely with partners like LM International. Through their constructive feedback and support, we can improve our programs, build stronger communities, and work toward a shared vision of sustainable development.
