RE-EXECUTIVE ORDER FROM THE AKOBO COUNTY COMMISSIONER, HON. JAMES KUETH MAKUACH, TO ALL THOSE WHO STILL CARRY THE FI****MS WITHIN AND AROUND THE TOWN.

This ephemeral statement serves as directive to inform all guns owners, loitering around in the town to keep their weapons home and move as free as they can in civil manner as guaranteed.

In regard to this order, any one who will incessantly defy this will individually be accountable since we embark extensively on normalizing the situation.

In separate notes, I want to rehearse my appeal to entire civil populations of Akobo County: starting from the Chiefs, local Government officials, Sub-chief, women and Children, teachers/education staff, traders, Faith-based group/ denominations, humanitarians organizations and their staff, hospitals staff, UN bodies, intellectuals, tea sellers and the entire beloved community of Akobo County and IDPs from Nyirol, Uror and Akobo to voluntarily come back to the town/homes as your safety is prioritized.

Therefore, the initial plan on my table is to swift up the process of humanitarian intervention as it's the paramount methodical to rescue all our families in dire need of humanitarian assistance

Akobo County, Today Friday 26th April 2024, four truck drivers including three foreign nationals and one Sudanese killed and 3 wounded in Chotroal attack in outskirt of Kaikuiny Buma in Akobo West on their way from Walgak to Akobo East by Suspected Murle Youth from Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
This attack is the third consective week attacks carried out by suspected criminal from Greater Pibor Administrative Area who are opposing peace among Lou Nuer, Dinka Bor and Murle
This provocative attack surprised me and it's the indication of a clear signal of Murle Youth trying harder to abrogate Pieri Peace.

This multiple attack demonstrated the clear lack of adhesion to Pieri Peace agreement signed in March 2021 and the recently resuscitated peace agreement in Akobo on 7th April 2024, with the resolutions agreed to stop killing of people on high ways, stop cattle raiding and stop child abductions by Nuer, Dinka and Murle communities respectively.

This today attack in Kaikuiny Boma surprised us with new brutality targeting all nationals including three foreign drivers who were not spared on their business duties, this is the obvious indicator that Murle Youth from Greater Pibor Administrative Area are not under the control of anybody but on their own.
I therefore, condemn in strongest term possible this primitive killing of innocent people by Murle Youth, my heartfelt condolence to the families, relatives and friends of those killed and may their souls rest in eternal peace and wishing all the wounded people quick recovery.

On 26 Nov 2022, Akobo County Commissioner along with the Land Survey team held a successful meeting with the community of Akobo County, pertaining the looming survey which will be carried out in the coming months.

In the committee were:
Hon. John Chuol Tot, Akobo County Commissioner, Hon. Dr. G*i Riam, Gen. Gatwech Gang Lual, Hon. Stephen Tut Puol, Hon. Peter Oballa, Hon. Mabil Tot Malual, DG. Eng. Mayian Biel Deng, Lou Nuer Chairlady in Juba Mama Nyawal Chuol, Mama Nyamiim Roah plus many other senior government officials and the general public of Akobo County.

However, Akobo community had agreed on the land survey and encouraged the committee to make it as soon, purposely for the sake of those who may be affected by the survey to rebuild their houses before the rainy season.

In other hand, the chief have also appreciated the initiative, described it as the pathway to development.

On 17th Nov 2022, this morning, Akobo County Commissioner, Hon. John Chuol Tot departed from Juba city to Akobo Headquarters after spending two and half months in the capital.

Therefore, the community of Akobo town is now lining on airstrip to welcome their leader.

On 14, Sept, 2022, Akobo County Commissioner, Hon. John Chuol Tot has successfully made it to the office of the MINISTER of Finance and Planning, pertaining to the issue of County's related issues to the Ministry of Finance and the way forward in the area of operations.
However, the two officials had agreed on the issues like:
1) Taking the money, County's budget to the County Headquarters, starting from the coming months.
2) Issue of the unpaid arrears and how they shall appropriately be paid
All in all, it has gone well successful and reached the consensus as aforementioned.
