THE CHAIRPERSON OF SPLM-IO PARTY IN UNITY STATE HONORABLE TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG HAS BRIEF THE PARTY LEADERSHIP YESTERDAY ON SIGNIFICANT ISSUES CONCERNING THE PARTY LEADERSHIP AND PEACE IMPLEMENTATION IN STATE LEVEL AND NATIONAL LEVEL

The chairperson of SPLM-IO Party in Unity State, Hon: Tungwar has brief the party leadership yesterday on the progress of the peace implementation in the state level, national level and the leadership of SPLM-IO as a revolutionary party, Hon:Tungwar has urged to the leadership of the party that, we are committed to pursued peaceful means of achieving the peace in the state, we SPLM-IO are going to implement the peace in letter and spirit so that, we could be able to restore the dignities of our people and rebuild our state and put it to the level of modern state, he said to the party leadership that, “ I highly believe and trust that the leadership of SPLM-IO party in general will rebuild a democratic Unity state and South Sudan”.

He also reiterated that, we are a party that must committed itself to implement true democracy in the party leadership and unite the people of unity state, he also said that, the leadership of the party in the state will continue to commit itself to implementing the remaining provisions of the agreement, especially the security agreement, the state legislature and other vital issues that demand to be implemented base on peace agreement.

The SPLM-IO party has also made a great significant step, yesterday, the party leadership has officially agreed that, we will officially open the SPLM-IO Party Office in the State and in all counties of Unity State.

The chairperson of the party, Hon: Tungwar, has urged to the party leadership that, we must open the party office so that, the party members can carry out their duties and the members of the party can have access to their party and know the progress made by their party because the SPLM-IO is the people’s party.

NICHOLAS HAYSOM SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SECRETARY- GENERAL AND HIS DELEGATION MET WITH DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF UNITY STATE HONOURABLE TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Mr. Haysom met with the deputy governor of Unity state, they discussed significant issues that concern the progress of the peace in the state level and the partnering between United Nations Mission in South Sudan and Unity State Government.

Hon: Tungwar said to Mr.Haysom and his delegation that, the government of Unity state is more willing to work hand in hand with the United Nations Mission In South Sudan so that they attain the peace together, he also said that, implementing peace and security in the state is the first priority of Unity State government and ensuring that the citizens are safe.

Hon: Tungwar reiterated that, the Unity state government has highly acknowledged the roles that has been played by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan throughout all this years since we got our independence.

Mr. Haysom has acknowledged that, the government of Unity has shown cooperation in the collective works which it has been doing as one government which it main purpose is to serves it own citizens, he also said that the United Nations Mission In South Sudan will aid the state government especially in remaking of schools so that the children can have access to education and they will help to lobby for international support for South Sudan.

He also said that, he is very delighted with the Unity state government because they follow the international rules and they has shown good cooperation to all humanitarian bodies which are operating in the state and he also urged the state government to make a plan on how best they can be help in making sure that the youth are fully disarm and engage in economic activities.

THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF UNITY STATE HONOURABLE TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG MET WITH THE DELEGATION FROM UK EMBASSY IN JUBA

The deputy governor and chairperson of the SPLM-IO, Hon: Tungwar had a very significant meeting with the delegation from the United Kingdom Embassy in Juba, the delegation discussed issues concerning the implementation of the peace agreements in the state level and how much progress has the government of Unity made in implementing the agreement, they also discussed the security issues in the state and how much effort is the government willing to do to ensure that the security is fully implemented so that the citizens enjoy the fruits of the security.

They also appreciated and acknowledged the tremendous roles and cooperation shown by the Unity state government especially the cooperation they has shown to the Humanitarian bodies in the state.

On the other hand, the deputy governor, Hon: Tungwar urged them that, the Unity state government will work hand in hand with all Humanitarian Agencies in Unity State in making sure that the Humanitarian Agencies play their international roles and fulfill the responsibilities of the Humanitarian Agencies and the State government will significantly provide conducive environment that will make works between the Agencies and state government very peaceful.

He also reiterated that, on his behalf as the chairperson of the SPLM-IO, he is willing and fully committed to making sure that he implement the revitalised peace Agreement in letter and spirit so that, the people of Unity state can embark on the mission to remake, redevelop and transform their state into democratic modern state.

DEPUTY GOVERNOR HONORABLE TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG STATEMENT ON OPENING OF SCHOOLS IN UNITY STATE- BENTIU

Today, 3rd of May, 2021, the schools are officially opened and the opening of schools was officiated by the Deputy Governor and SPLM-IO chairperson, Hon: Tor Tungwar Kueiguong.

He highly appreciated the pupils for coming in vast numbers in the first day of opening the schools, Hon: Tungwar told pupils that they must legitimately and legally do their parts in making sure that they studies very hard so that they pass their examinations and achieve their dreams and make our state a bright state through education and unity and on the other hand, he said that the state government will work very vitally in making sure that the demands of students are legally fulfil and the education is make more affordable to our pupils in the entire Unity state.

He also reiterated that, the state government will improve the conditions of the schools by recruiting more competent teachers that will deliver quality teachings to our pupils which are our futures.

Lastly, he said to the teachers that, they have been great light to our state, a light that give hopes to our pupils, he truly thanks them for maintaining the professional ethics of education and dedicating themselves to eradicating the illiteracy and he urged them that, the state government and teachers will fight this liberation of eradicating illiteracy in the entire Unity state and make her a better modern state through education.

RUBKONA WOMEN ASSOCIATION OF KERSANE REFUGEE CAMP HAS VISITED THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF UNITY STATE, HONOURABLE TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG

Rubkona Women Association from Kersane Refugees Camp has visited the Deputy Governor and Chairperson of SPLM-IO in the state, they raised vital issues that are affecting their lives in Kersane, they said that the People of Western Kordufan are mistreating them.

They said that they are humiliated constantly by the Arab Missiriya, their daughters and women got r**e and their security is not stable.

The deputy Governor, Hon: Tungwar urged them that their state government will work very hard in order to provide the security and put an end to their humiliation which is inflicted on them by the people of Kordufan, he also reiterated that, the ultimate goals of the Unity state government is to protect and provide services to its citizens.

SOUTH SUDAN RED CROSS STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND THEIR MEMBERS MET THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF UNITY STATE HON: TOR TUNGWAR KUEIGUONG .

Today, on 22 April, 2021, South Sudan Red Cross State Representative and their members has met with Deputy Governor of Unity State, Hon: Tor Tungwar Kueiguong, they briefed him about the activities which South Sudan Res Cross has been doing in Unity State and they also inform the deputy Governor about the launching of the new project which will be held on Monday, 26 of April.

Hon: Tungwar highly appreciated them for maintaining the professional ethics of South Sudan Red Cross and the corporation they has shown throughout this years and the years to comes.

He reiterated that, Unity state government will work hand in hand with all humanitarian bodies so that both government and humanitarian bodies fulfil the common responsibilities.

THE GOVERNMENT OF UNITY STATE HAS VISITED NHIALDIU PAYAM OF RUBKONA COUNTY

On March 31, 2021, the government of Unity State has visited Nhialdiu payam, the government was led by Governor, Hon: Joseph Nguen and deputy governor and chairperson of SPLM-IO party in the state, Hon Tor Tungwar Kueiguong, the governor, Joseph Nguen have told the gentlemen to ceased the culture of ra**ng women and cattle raiding, he also reiterated that any person or persons who will involve in criminals activities, the government of Unity State must find
Him/her or them and brought to rules of law.

Hon: Tungwar have told the people of Rubkona county that, today we come to Nhialdiu payam as one government, government of Unity, a government that will be hold accountable by the government because the purpose of every legitimate government has been one and it is to serves the people decently and equally, he reiterated his humble and true commitments to remake the state and transition the state into a modern state whereby the children have access to schools, people have easy access to medical treatments and farmers can work land so that they can enjoy the benefits of peace.

He also emphasizes that the government of Unity state has put security as the first agenda in the policies that the state government is going to implement because the security of the people is very vital.

He also said that, people who originally inhabited Dhorbor area and Barkur area should go back to those areas because those areas are very vital and they should not be deserted, there is airstrip in Barkur area that will help the inhabitants very much in facilitating their commercial, medical even educational activities.

Lastly, he said that the people must observe this government, they must not leave the work of the government to politicians, they must observe also the politicians and know who is implementing policies that benefits citizens in his ministry and who is not.

UNITY STATE GOVERNMENT HAS TOUR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES, MAYIANDIT COUNTY, LEER COUNTY, KOCH COUNTY AND GUIT COUNTY.

The government of Unity State have visited the following counties which are mentioned above, the delegation was led by governor Hon: Joseph Nguen and deputy Governor, Hon: Tor Tungwar Kueiguong.

In Mayiandit County, the Governor Joseph Nguen have addressed the issue of flood water that have taken vast part of the land and how the state government is going to work hand in hand together with the county government he also addressed the flood water issue in Leer county, he said that the state government will take immediate action in resolving the problems that is affecting our people’s lives.

In Leer county, deputy Governor and chairperson of SPLM-IO party in the state, Hon: Tungwar have told people of Leer county to honor the peace agreement which was signed by President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon by implementing it at the county leadership level and by doing that,the young people must occupy the vast part of it because they are the pioneers of every new initiative that bring light to the masses of our people, he also warned the criminals who execute illegal and illegitimate activities such as cattle raiding, ra**ng of women, girls and illegal checkpoints which are illegally operated by criminals in both road routes and River routes.

Hon: Tungwar highly appreciated the people of Koch county for the glorious reception that they gave to their state government, he told the people of Koch to be the guiding star that spread the peace among the neighboring counties but, above all, spread the peace among themselves and give up the notion of killing innocent people and refocus on building a new society, a society which is build base on democratic values and principles so that we can be able to catch up with the rest of the developing countries, he continue to urge young people to be the ambassadors of peace and unity in our state.

In Guit County, Hon: Tungwar directly told youth and young people of Guit county to use their education for the betterment of the county and state, he highly encouraged the youth to cease the culture of killings and adopt the new cultures, the culture of working for the betterment of county health services and education in the county.
