SUB: CLARIFICATION ON MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ROAD REHABILITATION CRITICISMS AND BOUNDARIES WITH BOR COUNTY.

In response to recent negative criticisms regarding municipal council road rehabilitation, the Office of the Mayor would like to address and clarify the issues raised. It has come to our attention that there have been concerns about road rehabilitation in Bor Town. Bor Municipal Council has inadequate tax collection in Bor Town. We would like to clarify that the council is currently dependent on taxes collected from Marol Market. It is important to note the boundaries of Bor Municipal Council in relation to Bor County:
- The tax collection from Akuot Ayol and Tibek is managed by Bor County.
- The Bor main port (fish business center) falls under the jurisdiction of Bor County.
- Pakwau blocks are also under the administration of Bor County.
- The areas from Akuot Ayol upto langbaar B are within Bor County and taxes are not collected from these areas with significant businesses. Please direct some of your questions to the authorities concerned if the roads in your areas are not rehabilitated.
Road rehabilitation efforts are focused within the jurisdiction of Bor Municipal Council, including areas such as
-Marol blocks and Akuot Ayol.
-Akuot Ayol to tibek(main road)
- Pakwau main road
- Marol blocks to block 4/Hai Thoura junction and other designated areas. We welcome constructive criticism and feedback regarding the operations of Bor Municipal Council. We have provided clarity on the boundaries to facilitate discussions and inquiries related to specific blocks.
It is important to acknowledge the achievements of Bor Municipal Council in the last few years, even in the areas under Bor County, bor municipal council help communities regardless of our jurisdiction ,including the recent d**e rehabilitation from leudier to Arek.
