Press Statement.
Immediate Press Release.

The Alliance Democratic Change-ADC condemned the unjustified, illegal and unconstitutional detention of First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E.Dr.Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, his wife Hon.Angelina Teny, Minister of Interior. This raises an eyebrow of the government planned to assassinate him. I urge the International Community to impose sanctions on Defense Minister Chol Thon Balok, CDF of SSPDF, Director General of Internal Security Bureau of the National Security Service (NSS). Then the UN Security Council, AU, IGAD and EAC should jointly call Hague's International Criminal Court to issue 'arrest of warrant' to Gen.Museveni and his son, Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba for their interference on the affairs of another nation, South Sudan. This serious misconduct is a total violation of the Internation Humanitarian Laws, Human Right Laws and Internation Treaties that adhere to governance principles and the respect for the fundamental human rights. The use of flammable chemical weapons in Nasir, Upper Nile State by UPDF should duly be investigated accountability should be served to justify unlawful killings of innocent civilians in South Sudan by foreign mercenaries from Uganda.

The Alliance Democratic Change (ADC) joins the other progressive forces for change in condemning the illegal extradition of Dr Kizza Bisigye from Nairobi, Kenya, where he went to attend book launch by opposition NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua.

His illegal detention incommunicado, in military torturing chambers in Kampala is an "act of cowardice." Therefore, ADC stands in solidarity with detained Uganda veteran opposition leader and his family therefore demands his immediate release.
