Good news to the people of Gumuruk County, Greater Pibor Administrative Area, in less than three days from now, ordinary citizens of the area will excitingly benefit from the dividends of communication services' delivery under the national slogan "taking Town to the People ". This essential service is being delivered by USAF, the specialized parastatal under Ministry of ICT&PS in collaboration with Zain South Sudan.

USAF is working collaboratively with Mobile Network Operators, and the regulator (NCA)to make sure all citizens have affordable communication service access under the national policy slogan..

On July 5, 2025, the Minister of Information Communication, Technology and Postal Services officially launched the Universal Service and Access Fund (USAF) project in Abuyong Payam, Aweirial County, Lakes State. This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with MTN South Sudan.

The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Chairperson of the Specialized Committee on ICT & PS in Revitalised Transitiona National Legislative Assembly, the Secretary General for USAF, the CEO of MTN, and the Lakes State Minister of Information, representing the Governor of Lakes State, among others.

This project aims to improve access to information and communication technologies in the area.

Universal Service and Access Fund (USAF) is a specialized parastatal of the Ministry of ICT&PS in the Republic of South Sudan, fully funding a project in Pan_nyok, Twic County, Warrap State, and is disputing the accuracy of information published by media outlets, specifically Twic Media Report.

The management is hereby warning to reverse wrong contents of its post, Therefore, USAF is demanding official apology for the wrong placement of the project by referring the project to National Communication Authority (NCA).
