PRESS RELEASE: UOPP Clarifies Position on Misleading Claims by Former Chairperson Peter Mayen Majongdit.

𝗨𝗢𝗣𝗣 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Today, the Umbrella of Political Parties (UOPP) held a constructive engagement with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Martin Elia Lomuro, in Juba.

The delegation was led by Hon. Mayen Jeremiah Turich, Chairperson of the Umbrella of Political Parties, accompanied by Hon. Joseph Rumbek, Secretary General, and other members of the leadership.

During the meeting, UOPP actively emphasized the need to accelerate implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement (R-ARCSS), strengthen coordination, and ensure that the peace process delivers meaningful results for the people of South Sudan.

The Umbrella reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to peace and its continued engagement with all relevant institutions to advance stability, unity, and democratic progress in the country.
