Governor Agoth ascends the girl child education bill 2025, into law, calls it an honour to our daughters

H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, this afternoon ascended into law, the girl child education bill 2025, by appending his signature, in a ceremony witnessed by Rt. Hon. Anei Arop Agany, Speaker of State Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to the media, Hon. William Wol Mayom Bol, the State Minister of Information said that Governor Agoth ascended the bill into law, to curb barriers that hinder girls' access to education including; early marriage, GBV and economic hardships.
On the other hand, Hon. Solomon Bol Mabior, the State Minister of General Education, added that the law aims to achieve; free education for girls, adopt an anti-gbv policy, establish girl friendly spaces and conforming education centres with girl-friendly facilities, across Warrap State.

Governor Agoth swears into office the State Minister of Agriculture, emphasizes crop diversification to eradicate poverty
Monday, June 1, 2026 - Secretariat General, Council of Ministers
H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth this afternoon officiated the swearing in ceremony for Hon. Suzy Nyanthel Minyiel as the State Minister of Agriculture Environment and Forestry, who pledged cooperation with the State leadership to advance the agricultural potential of Warrap State and protect its environment.
Governor Agoth congratulated the new Minister, and pledged to support translating the vision set out by the vital Ministry of Agriculture into actions. He also encouraged her to build on achievements of her predecessor.
While speaking to the media, Hon. William Wol Mayom Bol, stated that Governor Agoth emphasized diversification of Agriculture, away from relying solely on food crops and to usher an era of growing cash crops, in order to empower our farmers and boost our economy.
Hon. Suzy emphasized that hunger is a strong driver of conflicts, cattle raiding and theft, while affirming to partner with the youth and women to promote innovative ideas and embrace climate resilient agricultural practices.
During his closing remarks, the Governor encouraged the newly sworn in Minister to invest in the youth and women, whom he referred to as the most productive social groups.
He concluded by emphasizing integration of the policy of town planning and keeping Warrap State clean and green, within the Ministry of Agriculture's activities.
The swearing in ceremony was presided over by Justice Yai Anyuon, President of Kuajok High Court.

H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, the Governor of Warrap State is welcomed back to the State Headquarters, Kuajok and was received at the airport by State government officials and the general public.
Upon arrival, Governor Agoth met H.E. Hussein Abdhelbagi Akol Ayii, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chair of the Service delivery Cluster, who arrived to Kuajok, a day prior to the Governor's arrival.
Subsequently, a high level national delegation including, the National Minister of Roads and Bridges and representatives from sisterly States including Northern Barh el Ghazal and Jonglei States, were received by H.E. the Governor, in Kuajok.
During briefings to the State Government officials and the visiting delegation, H.E. Amb. Bol Wek presented an overview of Warrap State and in response, a resolute commitment was submitted by the Vice President, who affirmed that he is on a mission to promote peace and assess progresses on roads infrastructure.
In his remarks, H.E. Hussein Abdhelbagi Akol Ayii, appreciated Governor Agoth for his efforts which have contributed to reduced violence in Warrap State, especially in greater Tonj.
Moreso, the Vice President pledged to support H.E. the Governor in Coordinating peace efforts in Greater Tonj, until all the guns are silenced, for services to trickle down to the vulnerable populations.
The two leaders assured the gathering that adequate preparations are in place, for the 2026 national elections to be conducted, while emphasizing collective responsibilities at both levels of government; for achievement of sustainable peace in the region and the delivery of services to the common citizen in Warrap State.
