INSTALLATION OF A NEW CULVERT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED
Today, the installation of a new culvert at Bhar Nhaam has been accomplished. It's meant temporary as preparations are underway to rehabilitate the old bridge.
This process has been overseen by the Minister of Roads & Bridges, Lakes State – Rumbek, for efficient progression, and for it to meet the high demand for people benefiting from the passability of this road.
Although remorses have been sown apart by some unclassified individuals, the road's been accessible despite the break down of one culvert.
It's best to disregard any information that tells the inaccessibility of the road. It is false kind of information. Perhaps unfounded lie.
The Minister of Roads & Bridges, Hon. Awuol Malual, is working hard day and night with the contracted Company, making sure the road is maintained [filling of potholes] as it would prevent the heap up in a mass of water on the road.

THE MINISTER OF ROADS & BRIDGES, LAKES STATE, HON. BENJ. AWUOL MALUAL VISITS BHAR NHAAM BRIDGE.
Today, the Minister of Roads & Bridges visited the Bhar Nhaam bridge to access the condition of the road prior to the Culvert that has broken down yester-night, which has posed a concern unto the State Government and more specifically the Ministry of Roads & Bridges. The Minister was received by the County Commissioner, Rumbek East, Hon. MABOR MAKUAC, who gives a brief visitation to monitor the progress on the road.
While in a brief meeting with the "Rescue Team," the Minister urged the team to apply the most needed efforts to speedy up the maintenance as floods would hinder impassability, which, year after a year, place on hold the mobility of goods and services to the Four States, and Abyei Administrative Area of Bhar El Ghazal region.
Also, the Minister centred his briefing on the need of efficiency of the work, emphasizing the importance of feasibility studies in all areas, but mostly in areas that easily get flooded. “Doing this would give the designers potentiality of designing, and maintaining a road in accordance to the findings of the studies done”, he added.
Additionally, the head of the team lauded, and expressed a word of thanks to the Minister, assuring him to work collegially with the State Government, more especially the Ministry of Roads & Bridges as an immediate partner to the companies dealing with the construction of Roads and Bridges. The team's leader also expressed their readiness to cooperate, working earnestly hand in hand with the Ministry.
Finally, the Minister asked the Company, ARC, to be prioritizing bridges in the State, citing a dire need of maintenance to be carried out on several bridges: Payii, Bhar Nhaam, and Kabur William respectively.

Clarification!
Referencing an update updated‚ 29th August‚ 2022‚ about the maintenance on Rumbek – Juba road‚ which has caused reasonable and unreasonable inquiries from a few‚ who in every occasion‚ believe in their minds to be always right when absolutely not. The inquiries were; why are they prioritizing Bhar Naam first? Why not Juba – Guolyar first and the so on.
Moreover‚ some went blaming the Minister as well State Government. But nobody ever asks on when did Minister persuade the National Government such that a road is rescued at the earliest stage. It’s a project planned since March until it materialized‚ and that has resulted to the Company working on the road‚ targeting the most the areas that cut off the State from its Counties. Thus‚ the maintenance won’t end at Bhar Naam. The Company will get divided into groups in accordance to the areas that needed serious intervention.
In short‚ GS Construction Company will camp‚ starting from where work started up to Lakes State’s Terkeka border. The general public is hereby asked to refrain from propagations and preaching of unfounded political difference even where not necessary.

The Minister of Roads & Bridges‚ Lakes State – Rumbek‚ Hon. Awuol Malual with GS subcontractor Construction Company site Eng. Mike had been at the site‚ opening up dikes at ‘Bhar Naam River’ where flood waters cross the road.
The opening of dikes shall soon be followed by dumping Marrum as maintenance at Rumbek – Juba road starts. This process shall first target the main areas that hinder the movement of goods and people in and out of the State‚ and beyond.
Furthermore‚ the GS Company would divide itself differently into teams such that the work progresses well and crop up with the dire situation that needed intervention the most. The Ministry of Roads & Bridges of Lakes State is fully committed‚ making sure there is road flexibility thou there’s a delay.
