Ambassador Nebil Mahdi, Ambassador of Ethiopia to the Republic of South Sudan held a bilateral meeting with Honorable Amb. Monday Semaya Kumba, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan. They discussed ways to implement the Cooperation Agreements focusing on infrastructure, electrification, and cultural exchange, to enhance economic relations between the two nations.

Hon. Amb. Monday sincerely appreciated the Ethiopian government for providing scholarships, highlighting that such initiatives would further strengthen the bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Nebil on his part emphasized the significance of implementing agreed matters regarding infrastructure and capacity building programs between the two countries.

H.E. Nebil Mahdi met with Hon. Tut Gatluak, Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs of the Republic of South Sudan.

Ambassador Nebil updated Hon. Tut Gatluak on the current situation in Ethiopia and they have discussed on issues of common interest.
Ambassador Nebil recognized the commendable efforts in the implementation of peace agreement particularly in Judiciary reforms and positive developments on resumption of oil.

Hon. Tut Appreciated the government of Ethiopia’s commitment in supporting the peace agreement and reiterated the need to work on various projects that will integrate the two sisterly countries.
They also exchanged views on regional peace and development issues and stressed the significance of collaborations between the two countries.
