Today, as we mark the 43rd Anniversary of the SPLM Day, emotions filled the streets of Juba when young Emma, a street boy, joined the celebrations with a smile mixed with tears.

Despite hunger, hardship, and the difficult life on the streets, Emma proudly raised the flag of South Sudan with hope and joy in his heart. His celebration reminds us that the spirit of freedom, unity, and resilience lives in every citizen — especially among the forgotten and vulnerable children struggling daily for survival.

As we celebrate this historic day, let us also remember the street children and disadvantaged families across the country. Independence and liberation should bring hope, dignity, education, food, and a better future for every South Sudanese child.

Happy 43rd SPLM Day Anniversary to all the people of South Sudan.
May peace, unity, and prosperity continue to guide our nation forward. 🇸🇸
