Open Letter to the President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
By Atong Atem Barach
Speech on Peacebuilding and Mediation for South Sudan and Africa.
Honourable Father of our Nation, President Salva Kiir Mayardit,
Your Excellency’s daughter, respected leaders of South Sudan,
Honourable leaders of African nations, and fellow citizens,
Today, I stand before you with a heart full of hope and a vision for our beloved South Sudan and our continent.
Our nations are young, full of potential, and blessed with people who have the strength and wisdom to create positive change. Yet, we have faced many challenges—conflicts, disagreements, and divisions that have caused suffering, tears, and the loss of many dreams.
We cannot ignore our past, but together we can shape our future.
That future must begin with peace.
True peace is not only the absence of war—it is the presence of understanding, dialogue, compassion, and respect for one another.
Books on peacebuilding and mediation are powerful tools. They teach us how to resolve conflicts without violence, how to listen to each other with patience, and how to work together for the good of all. These books are not just collections of pages—they are guides for leaders, communities, and every citizen who dreams of a safer, stronger, and more united nation.
I respectfully address our Father of the Nation, President Salva Kiir Mayardit, and Your Excellency’s daughter:
we humbly ask for your leadership in introducing Silversil to our country so that our people can be free from tears and suffering year after year. With your guidance, with education, and with peaceful solutions, we can build a South Sudan where joy replaces sorrow, hope replaces fear, and unity replaces division.
To the leaders of South Sudan and to all African nations where wars have brought pain and despair: let us learn from the wisdom of peacebuilding and mediation. Let us use knowledge and dialogue to heal our lands, to teach peace in our communities, and to build a future where every child can grow without fear.
Let us act today, not tomorrow, for every moment counts when lives and futures are at stake.
I call upon all South Sudanese—students, teachers, leaders, and families—to open these books, read them, and practice the lessons they teach. Let us embrace mediation, compromise, and empathy. Let us teach our children that dialogue is stronger than anger, and that understanding is more powerful than hatred.
Together, we can create a South Sudan—and a peaceful Africa—where disputes are solved at the table, not on the battlefield. A continent where communities live in harmony and where every voice is heard, valued, and respected.
Let us rise together, open the books of peace, and write a new chapter in the history of our nation and our continent—a chapter filled with hope, courage, unity, and progress.
Fellow citizens, honourable Father of our Nation, Your Excellency’s daughter, and respected leaders of Africa, the power of peace is in our hands. Let us use it wisely. Let us read, learn, and act. For South Sudan, For Africa, for our children and for generations to come.

Personal appeal on children’s rights in the Republic of South Sudan.
By Johnbasco Adhar
This is a personal appeal addressed to the Government of South Sudan, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), peace partners, the ASK Foundation, and the Senior Presidential Envoy.
The purpose of this appeal is to recognize and include the voices of children in the peace and development process of the Republic of South Sudan.
Your Excellency, Honourable Senior Presidential Envoy Adut Kiir Mayardit,
I write to you with deep respect and sincere hope to address an important matter concerning the rights and well-being of the children of South Sudan.
As children, we need and deserve a peaceful environment where we can grow, learn, and build our future.
We acknowledge your dedication and commitment to the people of South Sudan. You work tirelessly to monitor the situation of citizens, listen to the concerns of communities, and act. Because of this commitment, we turn to you today with trust and hope.
Despite these efforts, many children in our country continue to feel that their voices are unheard.
We are often told to remain silent, to wait, and to stay invisible. Yet we are the future of this nation. Within us are dreams, hopes, ideas, and talents that can contribute to building a better South Sudan.
We respectfully ask that our voices be recognized and included. We ask for opportunities to express our talents, opinions, and visions for the future. Children should not only be protected but also encouraged to participate in shaping the society they will inherit.
We, therefore, appeal to you, Senior Envoy, to help leaders understand that every child’s voice matters. Let our words reach the hearts of decision-makers. Let our actions be seen and our dreams supported.
You are a bridge between the leaders and the people. We believe that through your leadership and compassion, you can help build a South Sudan where every child can:
Live in peace- Access education- speak freely - dream boldly and grow with dignity and equality.
We trust you to help represent the voices of children when we cannot be heard, to guide us when we need direction, and to give hope to those who feel unseen.
With your support, we can build a nation where kindness, justice, and opportunity reach every child across South Sudan.
We call for action, not only words.
Thank you for your care, your courage, and your commitment to the people of South Sudan.

Good morning from the country where
the most disrespected person is poor
The most neglected person is poor and
The most unprotected person is poor
But pray that one day such violence will
Come to an end

South Sudan and Somalia are the most corrupt countries globally, according to the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) released by Transparency International. Other African nations in the global top five most corrupt list include Libya, Eritrea, and Sudan. On the positive side, Seychelles leads Africa as the least corrupt, followed by Cape Verde, Botswana, and Rwanda. Transparency International warned that corruption remains a major global threat, driven by weak political will, declining democratic institutions, and poor governance. The 2025 CPI assessed 182 countries worldwide. No African country made it to the global top 10 corruption-free nations—a list dominated largely by European countries.

Jieng (Muonyjieng) Of Warrap,
Greater Tonj, Greater Gogrial and
Twic Mayardit.
°Kong Koc By Jieng is familiar language to solve their own problems.
On behalf of your neighbours, I'm writing to you on historical highlight (the keynotes) about history of warrap leaders for their struggled.
@ Deng Nhial was first liberator in anyanya one movement, Arab killed him.
Kuanyin Bol,the leader of Anyanya two.
His friends betrayed him and killed.
Dim Deng, the first chief of defence in the Republic of south sudan, also died as an intention killed.
And many more were perished in the name of south sudan.
History demonstrates that warrap is historical state.
If sons and daughters mistaken or misbehave in their parent houses, killing isn't solution, tortured isn't solution but elders are there to solve cases.
politically, if politics disagree" its couldn't be turned into violence" use peaceful mean{non violence}.
Do't finished yourselves before external double-dealing /treachery.
Don't underestimated power while you're they leaders leading south sudan.
This is just to highlighting that you're chosen state like Israel 🇮🇱 in the bible.
God chose leaders from warrap to lead South sudan.
why alway problems started internally?
Enemies could get a chances to grab the blessing throne that had blessed and already you're the seeds of the nation.
Stop tortured amongst yourselves.
Building an empire that will last forever, educates generation, inspires other, lead others and teach other.
May the Lord (God) continues guiding Leaders from warrap state, either National or state level.
