The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) Mobilization Committee, under the distinguished leadership of Comrade George Pitia Stephen, Chairperson of the Committee and SPLM Chairperson of Juba County, held a significant meeting with Zone and Club leaders to prepare for the upcoming 16 May celebration in Central Equatoria State.
At the gathering, Comrade George Pitia Stephen instructed all Zone and Club leaders to implement comprehensive mobilization activities to guarantee the success and magnificence of this historic commemorative event. The 16 May observance signifies a crucial milestone in our liberation journey and legacy.
All Zone and Club leaders have warmly embraced this initiative and have committed full support and cooperation for the successful realization of the event. JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN - April 9, 2026
The Sudan People's Liberation Movement Mobilization Committee, under the esteemed leadership of Comrade George Pitia Stephen, Chairperson of the Committee and SPLM Chairperson of Juba County, has officially launched a comprehensive mobilization drive for the upcoming celebration of 16 May in Central Equatoria State.
Comrade George Pitia Stephen, during the recent briefing, directed all 13 Payams and 3 Blocks Chairpersons to undertake extensive mobilization efforts to ensure the success and grandeur of this historic commemoration. The 16 May celebration represents a pivotal moment in our liberation history and community heritage.
All chairpersons have enthusiastically welcomed this initiative and have pledged full support and collaboration for the successful ex*****on of the event. The mobilization efforts will encompass community engagement, organizational coordination, and comprehensive planning to make this celebration memorable and meaningful.

In a vibrant and memorable reception, the SPLM Chairperson of the Juba County Secretariat, Cde George Pitia Stephen, was warmly welcomed to the SPLM Juba County offices. He was accompanied by members of the SPLM State Secretariat leadership, led by Cde Ann Kaku Samson.
SPLM members turned out in large numbers to receive and celebrate the newly sworn-in Chairperson of Juba County, demonstrating strong unity and enthusiasm within the party.

Swearing-In Ceremony of Gendokoro Payam SPLM Secretariat.
Today, 20/02/26, the Secretary of Juba County SPLM Secretariat, Cde Henry Darteyo Ladu, witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of the Gendokoro Payam SPLM Secretariat, the Payam Liberation Council, Assistant Secretaries and the Boma Chairpersons.
In his remarks, Cde Henry Darteyo Ladu encouraged the newly sworn-in members to remain committed and loyal to their party assignments and to uphold the principles and objectives of the SPLM.
He further directed the Payam Chairperson to organize preparations for the 16th May celebrations and to begin early preparations for the 2026 General Elections.
In his conclusion, he pledged that Gendokoro Payam would receive a one-day training on the Party Basic Documents to strengthen leadership capacity.

SPLM Juba County Secretariat leadership, under the strategic guidance of Cde James Yugu Gorbe, SPLM Chairperson of Juba County Secretariat, has initiated a massive mobilization meeting to prepare for the upcoming 2026 general elections.
The comprehensive mobilization meeting emphasized the need for grassroots outreach and systematic engagement to secure electoral victory.
Cde James also tasked the cadres to embark on agricultural activities as the way to overcome the economic challenge.

The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Central Equatoria State Secretariat held a grand reception ceremony, welcoming their newly sworn-in Chairperson Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony. The swearing-in of the SPLM State Chairperson who is also the Governor of the State comes in a time as the party is rejuvenating its workforce within Central Equatoria.
Speaking at the much anticipatory reception ceremony, Cde. Mary Apayi Ayiga, the Second Deputy Chairperson of the ruling SPLM highlighted that the reassignment of Cde. Adil as Governor and the Chairperson of the State SPLM is to serve the people, while appealing to Cde. Adil to stabilize Security, and prioritize Service delivery to unreached areas in order to fulfill the SPLM's vision of "taking towns to the villages". The Second Deputy Chair also urged the SPLM in the State as ruling party to open up political space through open dialogue with other political parties to advance security stabilization, development, and unity, while stressing party members to conduct visits to their respective constituencies, fight all forms of corruption, display discipline, and integrity.
Echoing same sentiments, Cde. Josephine Napwon, Member of Political Bureau and former National Minister of Environment urged the Governor who is also the Chairperson of the SPLM in the State to unite the people, noting the urgent need to restore total security stability in the State in order to encourage refugees to return in the country ahead of the elections. Napwon also emphasized on the need for the Party's leadership in the State to consider the affirmative action by acknowledging women in the key positions within the State leadership, a call which seeks to empower women and promotion
