I want to begin by expressing my deep gratitude and humility as I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Executive Team of the Duk Youth Democratic Alliance (DYDA), led by Eng. Mamer Makuei Mamer and his capable deputy, John Deng Aleer Goch. I am truly honoured by the trust you have placed in me as the Secretary-General of the DYDA Campaign Team.

I would also like to sincerely thank the entire DYDA Campaign Team, led by Michael Ghai Tong and his deputy, Yor Deng-Beer Chol, for their unwavering trust and tireless efforts throughout the campaign. From day one to the conclusion, your dedication and teamwork were exceptional. I recognise that, during the campaign, I may not have allowed everyone to contribute equally. If I inadvertently offended anyone, I sincerely apologise—this was never my intention. Your support, even in silence, meant everything to me. Thank you.

To our devoted Banat DYDA members and the committed Duk Flower Girls. I am immensely grateful for your unwavering dedication and service at the DYDA base. Over the past four weeks, you stood firm, enduring the scorching sun by day and the cold nights. You served tirelessly despite personal hardships, including illness. Your resilience, loyalty, and selfless commitment have not gone unnoticed. We especially thank your parents for their understanding and support, allowing you to spend countless days and nights with us.

May God bless your parents abundantly and reward you with bright and fulfilling futures, including, in due time, good and loving partners.

With your (DYDA Teams) unwavering support, we succeeded—together, we accomplished our goals, which was a job well done, a zillion congratulations to DYDA and your support will never be forgotten.

However, to the outgoing leadership of the Duk County Youth Association (DCYA), headed by Aleer Aleer, I extend my sincere gratitude for the tremendous work you have done in maintaining peace and stability during such a critical and challenging time. Your leadership created a civil space and a conducive environment that enabled a peaceful and viable electoral process. Thank you for your service.

To the IEC, led by Prof. Malual Wuor Kuany and your dedicated team, you have established a system leading Duk to its promised land—Canaan. Your well-organised, transparent, and professional conduct has restored peace and unity in our community. We commend your unwavering commitment.

To the Duk Unity Alliance, previously led by my capable brothers Galuak Chol Makuach and John Chol Mayen, this election was competitive, vibrant, and truly historic because of your participation. Without your presence, the election would have lacked meaning and recognition, both locally and beyond. On behalf of the Duk Youth Democratic Alliance (DYDA), I sincerely appreciate your credible and civic-minded engagement in the recent election. This victory is not for one side alone; it belongs to all of us. You are both great leaders, and I urge you not to be discouraged. Duk has witnessed your leadership capabilities, and remember, there is always life after any event. Though this may feel like a setback, tomorrow holds new opportunities.

To the vibrant Duk artists—oh my God! The spirit, colour, and soul of this election were amplified because of you. I will never forget your contributions. May the God of Duk bless you abundantly as you continue to sing the praises of Pan de Duk. Long live!

To the youth and leaders of Duk across all Payams—this victory belongs to you. Your energy, commitment, and enthusiasm were the heartbeat of this campaign. I see the potential in you to shape the future of Duk County, and I am truly proud. I look forward to future engagements and innovations with you, especially in 2027.

To the senior youth and elders of Duk, including those in the diaspora—thank you for your wisdom, restraint, and silent support. Your decision not to interfere in the election allowed the process to flourish with authenticity and energy. Your quiet guidance has renewed hope and belief in the future of our beloved Duk County.

To the citizen media outlets—your dedication to informing the community and beyond about the DCYA elections was exceptional. Your role in amplifying our message cannot go unnoticed. Keep up the excellent work.

In conclusion, over the past month of Loors (dancing at the DYDA base), I have witnessed remarkable unity and unconditional love among the youth of Duk. It is evident that, for the past four years, many opportunities have been missed. We now must restore those lost moments and build a vibrant, inclusive, and civil space where our youth can thrive and express themselves through meaningful events and initiatives.

This is our victory. Let us unite with purpose and walk together toward a better future. I trust that the newly elected leadership of DCYA, under the stewardship of Eng. Mamer, will uphold our unity, restore our values and dignity, and champion youth empowerment and development.
