Hon.Amb.Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development acting as the Secretary-General of the Public Financial Management Oversight Committee(PFM-OC) has today attended its 98th Meeting.


In The meeting, the committee discussed the implementation of policies guiding the macroeconomic development in the country.

The meeting was chaired by Hon.Salvatore Garang Mabiordit, Minister of Finance and Planning.

In his remarks, Hon.Amb.Ezekiel acknowledged the work of the PFM technical committee and secretariat for their technicality in presenting points of steps.

Hon.Amb.Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development escorted by the senior leadership of the Ministry has today visited the South Sudan Pension Fund.

The Honorable was received by Mr.Edward Yier Yier,the General Manager of the South Sudan Pension Fund and staff members.

During the meeting, The General Manager made a presentation that provided a concise overview of the current status of the pension administration.

He highlighted the importance of pension distribution, compliance and challenges faced.

The General Manager highlighted the achievements of the South Sudan Pension Fund in data management and resource management.


The leadership management of the fund appreciated the visit by the Honorable Minister and they regarded it as the first ever visit by the leadership of the Ministry for the last four years.

They emphasized on addressing those challenges to the leadership of the country such that they are amicably settled.

In closing of the meeting, Hon.Amb.Gakuoth urged for cooperation between the two institutions to advance the digital transformation in data administration across Nationwide, property development and to fulfill the wishes of the retirees such that their lives become better for what they worked for.

The Honorable Minister, the Deputy Minister and the General Manager and other leaders inspect invested properties of the South Sudan pension fund and he assures that their cooperation with the management will solve those outstanding challenges encompassing the fund.

Hon.Amb.Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, the Deputy Minister, the Undersecretary, the Director Generals and the Senior Staff from the Ministry of Labor has today received H.E. Mama Rebbecca Nyandeng De Mabior, Vice President of the Republic and the Chairperson for Gender and Youth.

The visit by the Vice President was a marking of the first implemented Project of the Women and Youth Leadership Program, a project funded by the UNDP which provided internship to recent undergraduates such that it prepares them for future career development.

In his speech, Amb.Gatkuoth acknowledged the generosity of Mama Rebecca during the liberation days and he said “Mama’s service was commendable since that time we were in the bush, (her leadership began even before then) we were able to live a town life because of her”.

VP Mama vowed to advance her helping service to young people who have graduated but have no work experience so that their talents are rewarded with erxprience.

Hon. Amb. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, has today received a wounded soldier, Capt. Bang Tut Gil.

Capt. Tut was wounded in Udier Payam of Longechuk County during the engagement between SSPDF and rebels.

Capt. Bang Tut was accompanied by the Chairman of Nyajaani Community Association in Juba, Mr. Dak Chuol Dhuor, and Hon. Bang. Kawich Diew, former Commissioner of Maiwut County.

Capt. Bang Tut appreciated the support of the Honorable Minister and his continued push for the prevalence of peace and security in Eastern Upper Nile State.
