Chairman of USAP, Joseph Malek AROP briefs party members on the issue of involvement of political party council (PPC ) into USAP party’s affairs.
Juba, February 4, 2026- Hon. Joseph Malek , Chairman of United Sudan Africa Party (USAP) and Deputy Minister of Justice and constitutional Affairs held a briefing on the issue of notification Letter of removal sent by the Chairman of Political Parties Council.
On 26/ January/ 2026, USAP party’s leadership has received a letter from Political Parties council chairman Hon.James Akol Zakayo saying that he has removed the interim leader Hon. Joseph Malek AROP and replaced him with Professor Ajang Duot.
In today’s meeting, Leadership of United Sudan African party (USAP) led by Interim Chairman Hon. Joseph Malek Arop has issued the following statements;
1. Leadership of USAP led by Hon. Joseph Malek has condemned Hon.James Akol , the Chairman of Political Parties Council’s unprocedural interference with the affairs of USAP party .
2. The leadership has also resolved to take legal actions against chairman of Political parties council should he fails to retreat his letter of intent to remove chairman of USAP party which is not the mandate of Political parties council (PPC).
3. Finally, the leadership led by Interim Chairman Hon. Joseph Malek urges the USAP members and public at large to be calm as administrative measures are being taken to protect the integrity and rights of the party .

The Leadership of United Sudan African Party (USAP) has officially convened the first meetings at the General Secretariat (USAP's Head office) at Munuki near Jamus football field, Juba-South Sudan on December, 6th 2025.
The meeting was chaired by Hon. Joseph Malek Arop, the incumbent and legitimate Chairman of United Sudan African Party-USAP in the Republic of South Sudan 🇸🇸.
Hon. Joseph malek Arop is one the signatories to 2018 peace agreement signed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The meeting was attended by all members of General secretariat, Leaders from Youth and Women Leagues of the party.
