APPRECIATION MESSAGE
Fellow citizens of Upper Nile State,
I extend my sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to each and every one of you for the peace, cooperation, and resilience you demonstrated throughout my tenure as your Governor.
Your commitment to stability and unity, even in challenging times, has been the foundation upon which we worked to rebuild trust, strengthen institutions, and promote development across our state. The calm and responsible conduct shown by our communities, youth, elders, women, and leaders at all levels made it possible for progress to take root.
I am particularly grateful for the spirit of dialogue and coexistence that prevailed among our diverse communities. It is this shared dedication to peace that continues to give hope for a stronger and more prosperous Upper Nile.
As I conclude my service, I urge you all to maintain this spirit of harmony, support your leaders, and continue working together for the future of our great state.
May peace and unity always prevail in Upper Nile.

H.E. Jacob Dollar Ruot, the Governor of Upper Nile State, today presided over the official swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed government officials, marking a significant step in strengthening the stateโs leadership and governance structures.
The ceremony saw the oath of office administered to state advisers, state ministers, members of independent commissions, and county commissioners. The event was held in a dignified atmosphere and attended by the Deputy Governor, senior state government officials, traditional leaders including sultans, as well as family members and well-wishers of the appointees.
In his address, Governor H.E.Jacob dollar Ruot congratulated the newly sworn-in officials and emphasized the weight of responsibility entrusted to them. He urged them to demonstrate integrity, commitment, and accountability in the discharge of their duties, stressing that public service is a call to serve the people with dedication and transparency.

H.E. Jacob Dollar Ruot this evening carried out an unannounced visit to Malakal Market to assess the state of nightlife, security conditions, and business activities within the town.
During the visit, the Governor moved through the market on foot, observing the general environment and directly evaluating the level of safety for residents and traders operating during evening hours. He engaged closely with business owners, vendors, and members of the public, listening to their concerns, experiences, and suggestions regarding trade and security.
The visit reflects the Governorโs hands-on leadership approach and his dedication to staying directly connected with the people of Upper Nile State.

H.E. Jacob Dollar Ruot, Governor of Upper Nile State, has safely returned to Malakal after a series of consultative engagements in Juba aimed at advancing peace, stability, and development in the state.
Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly received at Malakal Airport by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Deng Akuei Kak, alongside senior government officials, traditional leaders, cultural groups, sultans, and a large number of enthusiastic residents. The reception reflected the strong support and unity among the people and leadership of Upper Nile State.
During his visit to Juba, H.E. Ruot held high-level consultations with national leadership and key stakeholders, focusing on strengthening ongoing peace efforts, enhancing service delivery, and addressing pressing issues affecting communities across the state.
Speaking shortly after his arrival, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and reaffirmed his administrationโs commitment to consolidating peace, fostering unity, and accelerating development initiatives across all counties of Upper Nile State.

H.E. Jacob Dollar Ruot, Governor of Upper Nile State, today met with H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, to brief him on the ongoing peace efforts and security situation in the state.
During the meeting, Governor Ruot informed the President that the general security situation in Upper Nile State has significantly improved and is currently stable. He highlighted the progress made through continuous engagement with local communities and stakeholders aimed at fostering peace, reconciliation, and unity across the region.
The Governor further briefed the President on his recent visits and interactions with communities in Nasir County and Ulang County, noting that these engagements have been instrumental in addressing local concerns and strengthening trust between the government and the people.
Governor Ruot also outlined his plans to extend similar peace outreach initiatives to other counties within Upper Nile State, as part of his broader strategy to consolidate stability and promote lasting peace throughout the region.
