GOVERNOR JOIN MOURNERS IN PRAYER OF LATE REV FR. LOUIS LOHOLONG FUNERAL RITE.

On Saturday 20th 2023, Governor Louis Lobong Lojore join the mourners in prayer of late Rev Fr Louis Oholong Aharanya soul who passed away in short illness at Nairobi-Kenya.

In the funeral held at his brother's home in Hai Kuku residential area, Hon. Governor told the mourners that he came as a representative of the government to pray for the departure of the Soul of late Rev Fr. Louis Oholong.

He said his coming is to share this painful memory together with the family of the late, Imotong community and the faithful from the Roman Catholic particularly Diocese of Torit and Apostles of Jesus.

Governor also with regret told the faithful in the funeral that this diocese so far lost 2 energetic priests in the same week leaving a very huge gaps.

He mentioned Fr. Louis was seems a very important gentleman who have alot of things to do yet and this is practically symbolise by sad emotional tears from an old representatives of Apostle of Jesus Fr Otoo.

Hon. Governor, told the youth to start thinking of filling the position of the late which he said is not a simple tasks and it is not as easy as Governorship to fill, it take along way with struggles for one to reach his position. This position need self interest and devotion. Unlike Governorship that you go and some one come in within few months.

He also encourage young ladies to join the vocations of serving God ministry so that the state will realised good number of sisters and priests to allow expansion and development in our Diocese.

Governor further told the people to keep checking their health status like the way we check our bank counts. This will helps us to ensure early health management and that is what the white do.

He further ask the son and daughter of this state to take full responsibility in sacrificing their time to support our state hospitals than prefering good jobs in expenses of the lives of our relatives.

He emphasized the community of Eastern Equatoria to accept costs sharing initiative for sustaining our Doctors who are ready to keep our hospitals operational. And the government is in the process to introduce the plan. Which he mentioned is the only way to bring unnecessary death cases in our society down.

In conclusion. Governor ask all the mourners and the entire people of Eastern Equatoria State to support the government in the implementation of costs sharing in any government hospitals so that we realise sustainable opportunities for our hospitals.

H. E GEN. LOUIS LOBONG LOJORE JOINT THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS FOR HONOURING THE HOMECOMING OF H. E. & RETIRED GENERAL JOSEPH LAGU YANGA IN NIMULE.

25 February 2023. H. E Gen. Louis Lobong representing the people of Eastern Equatoria State joined thousands of citizens of madi in Nimule in honouring the Homecoming of H. E Retired General Joseph Logu Yanga.

Lagu is one of the well known 1st seniors politicians who had contributed much of his time in fight of uniting and liberating our country south Sudan.

South Sudanese are celebrating the efforts and achievements he inserted during his strong ages until retirement and now he decided to come home to spend his remaining time in Nimule.

"Community of ma-di, an old man has decided to come home, you must also come home wherever you are. Stop propagating messages of fear to the people willing to come back home, the call of ma di land today is symbolises by H. E Retired Gen. Joseph lagu decision" .

He also told Gen. Lagu to feel free to move everywhere he wishes and enjoy the fresh weather of Eastern Equatoria State and encourages the people to welcome his interaction with them.

Lobong appeals to the ma-di community in diaspora to come back home to occupy and develop thier land otherwise criminals may take advantage of madi absence to grab their land.

He told representives from the camp that as soon as they arrived to their respective camps let them tell their fellow colleagues in the camp that Retired Gen Lagu decided to stay home, you must come home.

He advised the community of ma-di that, if anyone says , they fought to liberate this land alone tell them what about Gen Lagu, Tefeng, Johnson Juma, Louis Lobong, Joseph Loduho. and many others wbo fought for this nation.

He challenged chiefs of Magwi for increasing the ma di chiefs dom of Uganda by settling as refugees in their land yet you claimed you are chiefs. what are you chiefing without people? you must encourage people to come back to occupy empty places.

Conclusion. He told the crowd that government of Eastern Equatoria State will always deploy policies to protect and encourage our people to go for business especially serious young youth ready for business.

NGOKOROKA AGE GROUP INVITED H. E. GEN. LOUIS LOBONG LOJORE THE GOVERNOR OF EASTERN EQUATORIA STATE IN MOGOZ.

21 February 2023, The age group where H. E. Gen. Louis Lobong Lojore belong known as Ngokoroka age group in Mogos invited Hon Governor to attend the event organise for governor to listen their complaints.

The group contributed more than 100 cows to be handed to their grandfathers known as Ngikaleso. This event was supposed to have finished long a go but it was interrupted by his absence for a number of reasons he could not make it.

Despite that they insisted that his present is very crucial for him to come and listened from them the messages to the government. Therefore, this day was the opportunity for him to go and listen from them.

In the event the elders (Ngokoroka) raised number of issues they're facing here in Mogos these include:
1. Inadequate water for human and livestock.
2. Lack of modern communication network.
3. Inadequate services like health and education.
4. Lack of police station for covering crimals.
5. The commissioner has never seen them since his appointment. (Kapoeta East).

In responses.
The Governor and political leaders appreciated the Mogos Community for their invitation and peaceful co existence with the Jie community,

He also appreciated mogoz community for standing with the government since the liberation and argued them to continue supporting the movement upto the time of the elections.

He explained the roles of the three levels of government when comes to the service delivery and pledge to do what they requested together with the partners in the ground to see that the listed complaints above are addressed.

Hon Governor got overwhelmed and offered 7 bulls to a different age groups.

In conclusion, the Ngokoroka groups killed three bulls in welcome of the Governor and promised to support the government in many areas of need where they can.

H:E GEN. LOUIS LOBONG LOJORE CALM AND SENSITIZE TOPOSA COMMUNITY IN NADAPAL EASTERN KAPOETA.

"Sudan got it independence first in 1953 with its map before Kenya and when we got our independence as South Sudanese we divided same sudan map and there was no any small part taken or increase" Governor said.

19th February 2023, Louis Lobong Lojore arrived in kapoeta East to calm down the situations in Nadapal and to sensitise the citizens of Toposa Community on the crucial message received from H. E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit the President to his people regarding the amicable start of solving the situation in Nadapal.

This visit aimed to make the citizens know that national government is committed to bringing the situations to an end and to know that action points were established to handle the Nadapal dispute amicably.

The Governor was accompanied with a team which characterise of Members of Parliament both from the state, National legislative Assembly, community leaders and young intellectuals representing Toposa Community in Eastern kapoeta.

On his note, Governor told the citizens that, for two weeks now he has been going through numerous meetings in Juba including the meeting in the office of the President to seek solutions to end this force border encroachment exercised by the Kenyan, Ugandan and Ethiopian governments

And In some of those meetings, some members gave a lot of blames to Toposa Community at Eastern part for defending Nadapal alone and yet it is an international issues that requires concern and responsibility of the entire citizens to move to Nadapal for their territorial defence

He also told the citizens that, the president is ready now and committed to solve the border issues not only Nadapal but also in other affect parts involving in such dispute and he requested the communities in the borders to remain calm to give chance for technical committee to work.

Last week the high delegation form by our president H E Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit met the President of the Republic of Kenya H. E Dr William Ruto in Nakuru and discussed border matters where joint Border Committee were told to start their work and to ensure the communities sharing common borders lives in peaceful co-existence and also to allow free movement of good and services between these nations.

Meanwhile in his capacity and that of his colleague Governor of Turkana County -Kenya they were task to bring the two communities sharing the common boarder in harmony and restore broken confidences among the two nations to allow free movement of goods and services to these nations.

In conclusion, all the instruments of international border at this time is ready to be use by the Joint Technical Border Committee for identification of border point.

GREATER KAPOETA YOUTH ORGANISED MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL COMPETITION FOR DETERMINING MISS AND MISTER GREATER KAPOETA

16th December 2022, Youth from Greater Kapoeta organised multicultural competition among communities of greater Kapoeta that include Toposa from kapoeta South, East and North, Larim, Didinga Buya respectively.

The purpose of this event was to bring all communities especially young people from communities of greater Kapoeta together with focused to unit them so that they coexist in common as a sign of demonstrating peace amongst their citizens. The event attracted thousands of young men and women including elderly people and others.

In the event, H:E. Gen. Louis Lobong Lojore Governor of Eastern Equatoria State made a very remarkable speech to the crowd that, this is a very good initiative that must include all the tribes living in kapoeta to participate. Therefore, next time if such event is going to be conducted other tribes must be included as signs of demonstrating peaceful coexistence among communities living in kapoeta.

He argued the organisers to next time include athletics and other sports activities and the best winners will be awarded. Youth in the villages should also be mobilised as the opportunity to bring those ones in the villages who are only thinking of evil act to come and witness the beauty of togetherness to their society through diverse cultural models competitions that would attract them to also participate next time in the near future.

He further said Government is very attentive to such events that brings people together, help to remind the young youth who were not aware about their cultural heritage and strengthen the interests of young people towards beautiful decorations of their cultural diversity.

Since the event will be conducted yearly, He urged the youth not to hasitat coming to his office looking for support because such activities helps the Government in reducing cattle thieves, highway robberies , and targeted killings. As such his Government is committed to fund such events.

On the other hand, Hon Magret Idwa Okuyee Minister of culture youth and sport promised that next year this same activity will be done exactly during youth day and the venue is here in Kapoeta and she asked the youth of Greater Kapoeta to get prepared early for it smooth outcome.

GOVERNOR TOLD THE TOPOSA OF KAPOETA EAST COUNTY TO GET READY FOR DIALOGUE WITH THEIR NEIGHBOUR TURKANA COMMUNITY OF KENYA.

On the 29th December 2022, Hon Louis Lobong Lojore Governor of Eastern Equatoria State upon his arrival from the meeting called by the president of the Republic of Kenya summoning the two Governors of Turkana and Eastern Equatoria State.

He briefed the citizens of Kapoeta East County that the meeting was to make sure the Toposa of Kapoeta East County of Eastern Equatoria State and the Turkana of Kenya to live in harmony while sharing resources along the border.

Him and the governor of Turkana Hon. Jeremiah Lomorukai-Governor of Turkana-Kenya expressed readiness to work together and get committed in setting modalities that could brings the two sisterly communities along the border to peacefully coexist. It was agreed by the 15th of January 2023 the two intellectuals from Turkana-Kenya and Toposa-Eastern Equatoria State will meet to solve some of those problems hindering cooperation of these two communities.

He further told the citizens that, the President of the Republic of Kenya HE. William Ruto promised to open water dams along the border to benefit the two communities of Toposa - South Sudan and Turkana-Kenya and to reduce the always tension of these communities fighting over water.

Governor Louis Lobong Lojore told citizens of Kapoeta East County to stop violence as means of addressing their problems and asking the youth in the villages to stop taking their cows or goats closer to the border for a meant time while they are planning to solve some of the issues between you the Toposa and the Turkana of Kenya.

He asked the youth and entire people of Toposa to distant from interfering or discussing the issues of border and told them the border issues is under the responsibility of National Government of these two countries and he urged the community in the border to be patient for the Juba-South Sudan and Nairobi-Kenya leadership to settle it up.

In conclusion, Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore Governor of Eastern Equatoria State ask the citizens to be committed in productive activities that brings valuable development in our areas and get rids of those who are enemies of progress to face the law.
