Governor Ukelo Issues Orders for Relief and Appointment of Directors General

Wau, 21 March 2025 – Governor Emmanuel Primo Ukelo of Western Bahr el Ghazal State has issued two significant orders concerning the relief and appointment of Directors General across various state ministries.

In Order No. 7 of 2025, the Governor relieved the following Directors General of their duties and suspended their executive powers within their respective ministries:

- Mr. Emilio Fada Alexander, Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement

- Mrs. Mary Gabriel Tulba, Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport
- Mr. Stephen Andrea Ujika, Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Investment
- Mr. Gabriel Akol Tit, Ministry of Trade and Industry
- Mr. Sebit Bernard Bakiet, Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, and Forestry
- Mr. Joseph Richard Ambuka, Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development
- Mr. Karlo Vitale Kuku, Ministry of Housing, Land, and Public Utilities

Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State Welcomes Joint Delegation

Wau, 12 March 2025 – H.E. Emmanuel Primo Ukelo, Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, hosted a high-level delegation comprising representatives from the government, donors, and UNFPA. Among the distinguished guests were Hon. Dr. Anin Ngot Mou, Undersecretary of the National Ministry of Health; H.E. Joanne Minns, Ambassador of Canada; and Madam Suzanne Mandong, Officer-in-Charge of UNFPA. The delegation convened at the Governor’s office to deliberate on initiatives related to "Health, Gender, and Youth Programs" in the state.

During the meeting, Governor Ukelo expressed his gratitude for the crucial support provided through the projects aimed at advancing health, gender, and youth programs. He acknowledged the importance of such partnerships in fostering sustainable development and improving the lives of the citizens of Western Bahr el Ghazal State.

Celebration of International Women’s Day in Wau

Wau, 11 March 2025 – The International Women’s Day celebration in Wau marked a significant occasion, graced by the presence of H.E. Emmanuel Primo Ukelo, Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State. The event, held under the theme “Empowering Women and Girls to Promote Equality, Safety, and a Healthy Environment,” took place at the Wau Youth Center, where Governor Ukelo was warmly received by H.E. Zachariah Joseph Garang, the Deputy Governor; Hon. Mahemmed Ali Goni, the Acting Minister of Gender and Social welfare; representatives from the Women’s Union; members of the State Security Committee; and various women leaders from the state government.

Wau, 10 March 2025 – H.E. Emmanuel Primo Ukelo, the Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, made an official visit to the State Ministry of General Education & Instruction. Governor Ukelo Reviews Council of Ministers' Resolutions

Wau, 6 March 2025 - H.E. Emmanuel Primo Ukelo,Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, reviewed a memo from the Council of Ministers during their periodical meeting no. 3/2025. The council unanimously resolved to:

1. Immediately halt operations at Gonia Broadcasting Station, Marial Ajiid government farm, and Eastern Bank government farm.
2. Instruct security organs to monitor and detain any person violating this resolution.

The state ministries of housing, land, and public utilities, information and communication, agriculture, and security organs are tasked with implementing these resolutions.

Opening of the Fifth Ramadan Tournament in Wau

Wau - H.E. Emmanuel Primo Ukelo , Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, inaugurated the fifth Ramadan tournament at the Youth Center in Wau, in the presence of Hon. Mohammed Ali Goni the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Hon. Ruweida Rajab Suleiman the Deputy Mayor of Wau Municipality for Land Affairs,

It is worth noting that this sports tournament is held annually in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and this year it includes the participation of ten football teams competing for the championship cup.
