🇹🇴🤝🇨🇦 "A Step Forward in Modernizing Tonga’s Travel Documents."

Today we had an insightful presentation by Mr. Dwight MacManus, Vice President & General Manager, Border Security from the Canadian Bank Note Company Limited on a proposed upgrade to Tonga’s passport system. The initiative aims to introduce enhanced security features and modern technology to strengthen the integrity of our passports and align with international standards—supporting safer and more efficient travel for Tongans.

Minister for HMDS - His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ‘Ulukalala highlighted the importance of this upgrade in safeguarding our national identity while improving the ease of entry across international borders. A promising step forward as Tonga continues to strengthen its global presence and protect its people.

ENDS.
