Walking Through the 18th Century İshak Paşa Sarayı | Eastern Turkey

Step inside one of the most breathtaking yet underrated palaces in the world — the Ishak Pasha Palace (İshak Paşa Sarayı), perched on a hilltop in Doğubayazıt, Eastern Turkey.

Constructed between 1685 and 1784 over a period of 99 years, this UNESCO Tentative World Heritage Site is a stunning fusion of Ottoman, Seljuk, Persian, and Armenian architectural traditions. Unlike the imperial palaces of Istanbul, Ishak Pasha Palace stands as a unique frontier monument on the historic Silk Route, just miles from the Iranian border.

In this cinematic walkthrough, you'll experience:
• The iconic exterior facade with its legendary "Tree of Life" stone reliefs
• Intricate muqarnas vaulting that feels like carved honeycomb
• The inner courtyards, now sheltered beneath a striking modern glass-and-timber roof
• The ornate Harem entrance, Selamlık halls, and forgotten corridors where sultans once walked
• The delicate stone latticework and calligraphy that survived earthquakes and wars

The palace was so significant that it was once featured on the Turkish 100 new lira banknote — yet it remains surprisingly unknown to global travelers.

Walking Under Rainbows: Cinematic Street Canopies in Europe

Step into a world where the streets themselves are works of art. This cinematic visual journey takes you beneath Europe's most vibrant overhead installations — from spinning rainbow pinwheels and geometric square canopies to the world-famous Umbrella Sky Project.

Originating in Águeda, Portugal in 2012, the Umbrella Sky Project has transformed gray city lanes into open-air museums of color, inspiring over 170 installations worldwide. You'll also see the stunning street-art canopies of Andorra la Vella, where the "Art al Carrer" program turns shopping avenues into immersive galleries suspended in the sky.

Whether it's hundreds of umbrellas floating against a brilliant blue sky or pinwheels dancing in the mountain breeze, these installations prove that cities are at their best when they dare to dream in color.
