What is a Deed?βπ½
A deed is a legal document that facilitates the transfer of ownership of real property (in this case, land) between individuals.
If a deed is not registered, Section 16(2) of the Registration of Deeds Act (RDA) provides that it may be regarded as fraudulent and void. This article therefore outlines the importance of registering a deed.
