Chapter 36 - Lucky and blessed, but most of all, grateful.

Labour Day Celebrations, Charlie King Junction, Fyzabad.

June 19th marks the anniversary of the Butler Oilfield Protests, led by Tubal Uriah Butler and other labour leaders who fought against the exploitation of the labourers and the working class between 1935 and 1937.

As a nation, we have made significant strides since then, but there is still more we need to do.

What June 19th has taught me is that when you disregard and exploit the working class, society crumbles.

But when you treat your workers well and with respect, you create a more productive society.

Getting older, I recognize and appreciate how much mothers sacrifice and give to their children daily.
