๐ The Department of Youth Empowerment hosted another installment of its Youth in Motion Community Health Fair today (June 19, 2026) at the Montgomery Recreation Ground, Bethel.
Members of the public were afforded access to a wide range of free health services, including blood sugar testing, cholesterol screening, HIV rapid testing, tetanus and flu vaccinations, dietary consultations, blood pressure checks, as well as weight, height and BMI assessments.
Participants also benefited from an aerobics burnout session, massage therapy, holistic physical therapy services, dental awareness information, insurance services, and vendors promoting healthy foods, fresh juices and other wellness focused products.
The initiative continues to promote healthy lifestyles, raise awareness of the importance of preventative healthcare, encourage community engagement across Tobago and inspire individuals to adopt healthy habits that support their overall well-being.

The Department of Youth Empowerment conducted assessments yesterday (June 17, 2026) at the Shaw Park Complex for applicants to the World of Work (W.O.W.) Programme 2026.
More than 300 young people from across Tobago participated in the assessment process, eager to gain valuable workplace experience.
The World of Work Programme is a dynamic initiative designed to prepare youth between the ages of 16 and 18 for the professional environment through valuable exposure and development opportunities. The assessment process is a key component of the initiative and serves to evaluate applicants as they progress through the selection process. It also provides participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their overall readiness to succeed in a workplace environment.

Interviews for the Youth Energized for Success (Y.E.S.) Summer Internship Programme 2026 commenced on Monday, June 15, 2026, and are continuing through Wednesday, June 17, 2026, under the purview of the Y.E.S. Unit of the Division of Youth Empowerment and Sport.
The interview process forms an important part of the programmeโs selection process, providing an opportunity for shortlisted applicants to further demonstrate their suitability and readiness for placement.
The programme is designed to equip young people with valuable workplace experience and greater preparedness for future career opportunities. Targeting Upper Sixth Form and tertiary-level students between the ages of 17 and 35, the initiative provides participants with practical exposure at a critical stage in their academic, personal and professional development.

Secretary of the Division of Youth Empowerment and Sport, Assembly Member Keigon Denoon, met with representatives of the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business on Friday, June 12, 2026, as part of the Divisionโs commitment to fostering partnerships that support professional development.
Representing the institution were Team Lead, Student Recruitment Centre, Stacy Maharaj-Siew; Student and Alumni Engagement Officer, Kersha Garner; Graduate Admissions Advisor, Sharia Ahamad; and Graduate Admissions Support, Lequay Harper.
The meeting provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and the exchange of ideas surrounding opportunities for growth, learning and development, particularly as they relate to empowering individuals and advancing personal and professional success.
