🔥 “Raid” Strikes Plant Supplying the Enemy’s Aircraft Industry

In September, operators of the 4th Battalion of the 413th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces “Raid”, working alongside other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Snezhnyansky Machine-Building Plant in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region.

The facility is an important part of the enemy’s defense industry, specializing in the production of components for gas-turbine engines, including compressor and turbine discs and blades. The plant supplies Russia’s military-industrial complex with engine components for attack aircraft and combat helicopters.

🔥 RAID STRIKES A RUSSIAN GENERAL STAFF MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS STATION

On the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, operators of the 1st Battalion of the 413th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces “Raid” detected and struck a Russian R-161-5 “Polyus-5” mobile communications station twice.

The system is designed to provide secure, reliable and jamming-resistant communications at the strategic command level. It is part of the “Polyus” communications network used by the Russian General Staff.

Two strikes. One critical communications asset taken out. 🎯

💥 Moscow, oil depots, and the enemy fleet — the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment “RAID” September results.

Throughout September, operators of the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment “RAID” struck:
• 11 tube artillery systems and 1 MLRS
• 3 air defense systems
• 10 radar systems
• 84 military vehicles

They also shot down 16 Shahed drones, while 154 Russian servicemen were eliminated from the battlefield.

🛢 A major focus throughout the month was the enemy’s energy infrastructure:

• September 2, 3, and 20 – together with other Ukrainian units, RAID operators struck the Moscow Oil Refinery, a key producer of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel used to support Russia’s military.

• September 24 – struck the Oskolneftesnab and Stoilensky GOK fuel depots in Russia’s Belgorod region, as well as the Liskinskaya oil depot in the Voronezh region.

• September 26 – struck the Gubkinskaya oil depot in Russia’s Belgorod region.

⚙️ On September 11, RAID drones struck the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant in temporarily occupied Donetsk region. The facility manufactures components for gas turbine engines, including aircraft engines, and is used to support Russia’s military industry.

⛴ Throughout the month, RAID operators also struck six enemy vessels.

It is the estimated value of Ukrainian military equipment protected from enemy drone strikes over the past six months by the electronic warfare (EW) operators of the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment “RAID”.

More importantly, they saved the lives of more than 200 Ukrainian defenders targeted by Russian FPV drones and Molniya UAVs.

This mission continues every day across the regiment’s area of responsibility. RAID’s EW operators intercept enemy drone signals and use powerful electronic jamming to sever the connection between UAVs and their operators.

Working quietly but at exactly the right moment, they shield friendly forces from aerial threats and help keep both personnel and equipment safe.

9 tons of explosives. A retired B-17. No pilot on board.

In 1944, the United States turned obsolete B-17 bombers into BQ-7 Aphrodite flying bombs. A crew would take the aircraft into the air, bail out, and operators would then guide it remotely toward its target.

The project ultimately failed, but the concept was remarkably ahead of its time: a long-range unmanned strike aircraft designed to hit targets far beyond the front line.

This is the story of America’s first deep-strike drone.
