The Central Regional meeting held in Mityana District Local Government with a call on leaders to embrace Unity for improved service delivery in the local governments.

Our Minister of Local Government,Hon.Rapheal Magyezi has expressed the need for the immediate review of the Decentralization policy that has been in existence for the last 30 years.The outcome will inform the roadmap for deepening Decentralization in Uganda.He made a submission to the Committee of Parliament for Public Service and Local Government today.

Happening Now at Parliament:Our President ULGA presenting key critical issues to be considered by the Public Service and Local Government Committee of Parliament to inform the National Budget for FY 2023l24.

May the year 2023 draw us together as we strive to unite LGs for improved service delivery in Uganda.

The District Chair Person Mbarara DLG/Vice president ULGA Western Region chairing the Western Regional meeting in Mbarara with a call to Central Government to increase budget allocation for road maintaince in LGs to enable them maintain and rehabilitate roads which have become impassable during this rainy season.

Today Uganda joins the rest of the World to celebrate the World AIDS Day with a call on leaders to continue creating awareness on the need to refrain from all risky sexual behaviours that may lead to HIV/AIDs infection especially during this Festive season.

It was such a colourful ULGA Western Regional meeting in Mbarara DLG.The members included: District Chair Persons, Chief Administrative Officers, District Speakers,Subcounty Chairpersons, Senior Assistant Secretaries, Secretariat staff,invited guests, the media among others.The leaders demanded for increased financing of LGs to enable them deliver on their mandates, Transport facilitation, salary enhancement across board for LG candres , improved cordination with LG personal and the Central Government among others.

We have successfully held our Western Regional meeting in Mbarara DLG Headquarters.Thank you Mr.Didas Tabaro the DCP Mbarara/Vice Western Region for hosting a successful meeting.
