OBITUARY

We condole with the family, Vice-Chancellor Barnabas Nawangwe, the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and the entire research community on the untimely death of Prof. Noble E. Banadda.

A few months ago, he was declared the winner and research chairholder of the O.R. Tambo Africa Research Chairs Initiative funded by The National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF) and coordinated by UNCST.

The chairholder position came with a multi-million five-year grant to be implemented at the Makerere University where he worked as Head of Department Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.

Death has deprived Uganda and Africa of a bright and dynamic young scientist.

May his soul rest in eternal peace!
