JCU Yumbe Centre (supported by 🇩🇰🇳🇱🇸🇪🇮🇪), conducted a community outreach at Nyaru Cell, Komila Ward, Ayivu Division in Arua City, reaching a total of 85 participants.
During the outreach, participants were sensitised on land rights, with a focus on promoting awareness and preventing land-related disputes within the community.
Such engagements continue to play a vital role in empowering communities with knowledge and ensuring access to justice for all.

JCU Yumbe successfully convened a Client Response and Support Network (CRSN) meeting at the Arua Chief Magistrate’s Court, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen coordination in the delivery of justice and support services.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Care International, FIDA Uganda, Uganda Police Force, Uganda Human Rights Commission - UHRC, Uganda Prisons Service, Women Effort For Inclusive Development, Justice for Children, Office of The Director of Public Prosecutions, Redeem International, CERFORD, and the Uganda Law Society (ULS).
Together, we continue to foster collaboration and enhance access to justice for all.

The JCU Kasese team, along with Grade I Magistrates from Kasese and Bwera Courts, broadcast a segment on Kasese Guide Radio 100.5 Omusondolya Listeners' Club, to raise awareness ahead of the Mediation Fortnight for the Kasese High Court Circuit. This event is scheduled to take place from 10th to 21st November, 2025.
The initiative aims to promote Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), with a focus on mediation. Mediation offers several benefits, including:
- Providing parties with a safe environment to express themselves.
- Encouraging reconciliation between disputing parties.
- Reducing the backlog of court cases.
- Educating parties on important legal issues.

The JCU Tororo Centre, in collaboration with BRAC Uganda, conducted an integrated community outreach program at Bira Ward, Pajwenda Town Council, in the West Budama South region of Tororo District. This outreach aimed to address gender-based violence (GBV) and promote sexual and reproductive health rights within the community.
BRAC provided services including family planning, HIV counselling and testing (HCT), antenatal care, and free medical check-ups. Meanwhile, JCU provided mental and psychosocial support, raised awareness of , and facilitated the registration of community complaints.

JCU Tororo conducted a community outreach in Parachan South Village, Mwello Parish, Tororo District, focusing on succession law and the new amendments regarding intestate succession. This topic was chosen due to the violation of widows' rights by customary heirs and clan heads in estate distribution after intestate deaths. The outreach aimed to educate participants, particularly widows facing oppression, about their rights and the legal framework surrounding estate distribution.

JCU Mbale, in partnership with The Mifumi Project, conducted an outreach program for women in Sapiri village to raise awareness about Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), given the high incidence of such cases in the area. It was observed that many SGBV cases go unreported due to the fear of stigma associated with them.

This is a community outreach at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church in the Makindye division, Kampala district. We engaged participants, who were refugees, and provided them with information about JCU services, gender-based violence (GBV), land rights, and commercial justice.
